|Irving Armstrong||Ella G Armstrong (Carrico)|
I am the grandson of Ella G Armstrong, whose tombstone is pictured in your posting. I live in Colorado, but have visited the site several times .. mostly on trips back to Virgina when burying kinfolk in the Catlett Methodist Cemetery. I have several cousins in the Area, including Vernon Riley and William Armstrong.
I want to thank you for posting of the photos. Seeing them and knowing that someone cares means so much to me.
I recall visiting first there as a young boy with my father in the early 1940's. Ever since I have wondered about my grandmother. I am blessed to have her portrait in my office. So the connection between us now of over 100 years is still cherished.
God bless you,
Irving Robert Armstrong, Jr.
Thank you very much for photos...Smith Henry and Penelope !!!

|David Seitz||RE: finding the cemetery|
Steve, I ventured to Armstong Cememtery today -- thanks for the expanded directions -- and wow, you were right, it is a mess and sad. I found a few stones that aren't posted on Find-A-Grave and will post them shortly. It seems there may be some duplicate stones between the short initials only and larger with names and dates. I'm interested in going back after the frost -- let me know if you'd like some help. Dave

I've volunteered to take a picture of one of hte graves and see that you found the Beach-Armstrong Cemetery in the past. Is it right off the road per the description:
8042 Greenwich Rd
Postal Code: 20119
I couldn't find a way to link directly to the property record but you can search Fauquier property records here: www2.undersys.com/fvawebnew/fauquier.html and use the this Parcel Identification Number: 7924-01-9312. The property seems to be one-tenth of an acre with a dozen or so graves.
Thank you for your help.
Thanks very much for the Sayres photos. I really appreciate it. Nice job.
