Going through some old emails, discovered I owe you a LONG overdue thank you for a transfer. Even though I'm late, it's still much appreciated.

I noticed on her marriage license her date of birth was given as September 7, 1907 as opposed to September 4, 1907 on her grave marker. Not sure which is correct.
Also gives her place of birth as Purdin, Missouri and widowed 3 times.

John N. Coombes
Ron,
I too am a member of the Civil War Round Table of Western Missouri. I cannot put a face with your name, but presume we have both been to meetings at the same time. We will have to get together and talk Civil War one of these days.

I am looking for the grave site of John N. Coombes. He is buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence, and you placed a picture of his grave stone in Find-A-Grave. Can you tell me in which section of the cemetery he is buried? Or give me some other identifying feature to help me find his stone.

Thank you for your time and kind assistance.

Best regards,

Mike

re: Civil War Round Table
I just read your short bio. The first thing I did notice was your membership in the Civil War Round Table? My brother is Col. Richard L. Davis, a noted Civil War researcher and historian. I am curious if you know or have heard of him? You can contact me at oklady41@wildblue.net . Evelynne "Scot Lady"

Yes, I would be happy to have this transferred to me. I will continue to search to be sure I have the right information. If you can find your former informant's email, please send him mine or ask if you can share, I'd like to work with him/her on this.

Thank you,

John Younger, spouse of Ellen (Holland) Younger
Memorial #44894406. I am a Younger by birth and research this line, even those not in my direct line. I don't believe that the John Younger who is referenced to be Ellen (Holland) Younger's spouse is just John. I believe he was John Joseph or Joseph John - I found a death certificate in the Kentucky Death Records that I believe to be him. I should also mention that I found Ellen Younger in the 1900 census and she was a widow at that tieme. All of their 8 children were born in Covington, Kenton, KY and that is where I found the record I refer to. From my notes:
Kentucky Death Records, 1852-1953 for Joseph Younger. Physician's Certificate #162, found at Ancestry.com.
Name of Deceased: Joseph Younger - I believe this is John Joseph Younger. White, Male, age 51 years. Married, Died March 24th, 1886 at Kenton County, KY from Cirrhosis of Liver. He was a saloon keeper, born in Germany and lived in 8th Ward, 5th Street, No. 161 for 35 years. Burial was St. Mary's Cemetery on March 27. I believe this is Ellen Holland's deceased husband, I found her as a widow in the 1900 census and she is also buried at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Please contact me if you want to discuss this.

Jeff Lowry
Wm. Lowry, Elmwood - KC
Thank you for taking pics of my g grandparents' grave (and subsequently my grandparents' [J.D. & Ida) grave. Wm. was a native of KY. His parents moved the family to Sedalia between 1950 & '52.
Being a headstrong 17 yr. old Wm. went back to KY
and volunteered with the 5th KY Mounted Infantry.
After the war he moved to St. Louis and ran a hotel.
Most sincerely,
Jeff
