Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy locating "lost" cemeteries and doing complete surveys of them and other local cemeteries. I add as many photos as I possibly can as time permits or whenever I see a photo request. But first I add the person's name and dates so you know where your ancestor is buried. I tend to get involved in the people buried in the cemeteries and try to use my genealogy skills of over 30 years to link those buried to their loved ones. This is done to make it easier for researchers to locate family members.

SORRY, BUT I DO NOT TAKE A PERSON'S WORD FOR ANY EDIT INFORMATION. I RESEARCH FOR MYSELF AND THEN WILL ADD OR CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE FACTS. TOO MANY PEOPLE SEND ME "FACTS" THAT ARE FALSE.

I am happy to transfer your family and friends to you, as long as they aren't mine too. DO give me a REASON to transfer to you though! I AM A CARETAKER WHO IS ONLY WAITING FOR A FAMILY MEMBER TO CLAIM THEIR LOVED ONE. These graves belong to those who loved them, even if they never met in life.

✔ PLEASE NOTE!!!
Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown or a person from an incorrect cemetery into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate. It is not fair that I spend my time, my gas, my $, hunt down owners of the properties, bee stings, ticks, poison ivy, and even risk to my life (bull in the pasture, scary men, and electrified fence-no snakes so far) to photo gravestones only later to find that an armchair F-A-Ger has placed a name in either an incorrect cemetery or has a burial unknown, finds I have actually found-the-grave, moves theirs to the correct cemetery and then expects me to delete my entry. I WILL TRANSFER my submissions after the incorrect entry is deleted. This way both get credit and the person who makes the incorrect entry still has a memorial they maintain. I feel this is more than fair. This is in accordance with FAG rules! I refer you to Find A Grave rules: "In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location". Thanks for listening to my venting!

Happy hunting!

This is my living Uncle . The death date is actually his birth date and he is still alive and well. I would also like to manage his future memorial if possible . He'll get a kick out of already being listed as deceased .

Hello Anne . I'm at it again ....asking if you'd be so kind and transfer memorial over to me . I fear this won't be my last request either . I have a lot of Bloodline in Beckley and a lot of tie in's . Just want to say thank you again for creating all these memorials that included so many of my family .

Lonnie M Warden
Hello Melissa and Historianne,
My grandmother was Minnie Mariah Warden Walker and I've been researching her ancestors. I came across Lonnie Morris Warden Find A Grave #44789317 and found what I think may be a duplication of Find A Grave #93636564. Your news article says graveside rights were conducted at Wildwood Cemetery and that the body will remain at the funeral home and also, that he was in WWII. The headstone from Find A Grave #93636564 has the same birth and death dates but says WWI and it is located at the American Legion Cemetery. Both memorials have important contributions. Don't you think they should be merged into one memorial please?
Carol
