Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy locating "lost" cemeteries and doing complete surveys of them and other local cemeteries. I add as many photos as I possibly can as time permits or whenever I see a photo request. But first I add the person's name and dates so you know where your ancestor is buried. I tend to get involved in the people buried in the cemeteries and try to use my genealogy skills of over 30 years to link those buried to their loved ones. This is done to make it easier for researchers to locate family members.

I am happy to transfer your family and friends to you, as long as they aren't mine too. DO give me a REASON to transfer to you though! I AM A CARETAKER WHO IS ONLY WAITING FOR A FAMILY MEMBER TO CLAIM THEIR LOVED ONE. These graves belong to those who loved them, even if they never met in life.

Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown or a person from an incorrect cemetery into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my "duplicate". It is not fair that I spend my time, my gas, my $, hunt down owners of the properties, bee stings, ticks, poison ivy, and even risk to my life (bull in the pasture, scary men, and electrified fence-no snakes so far) to photo gravestones only later to find that an armchair F-A-Ger has placed a name in either an incorrect cemetery or has a burial unknown, finds I have actually found-the-grave, moves theirs to the correct cemetery and then expects me to delete my entry. I WILL TRANSFER my submissions after the incorrect entry is deleted. This way we both get credit and the person who makes the incorrect entry still has a memorial they maintain. I feel this is more than fair. This is in accordance with FAG rules! I refer you to Find A Grave rules: "In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location". Thanks for listening to my venting!

Happy hunting!

I noticed you have listed the Warden Cemetery, I am working on my Harrah family and see by the death certificate that he is buried in Warden but the obit says Lanark, are there graves at Warden you have not listed or stones you can't read or graves not marked, not sure if I should list here. Can't find a Lanark.
Thank you

Sunset Memorial Park

You said on his memorial page that he has two gravestones. Where is his second one? Can you post photos of the two gravestones? Do you have any idea why there could be two stones? That would be an interesting story as to why or how that happened.

Thank you for all you do and your time.

Elder James "Jerusalem Jim" Lilly
Hello fellow genealogy enthusiast!

I'd LOVE to swap/share info with you :)

As excited as I am to talk to you, I'm actually contacting you about an edit. I read the info in your profile about your research but wanted to let you know that Elder James William "Jerusalem Jim" Lilly isn't buried at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. (

He's actually in Camp Creek on a mountainside on Bluestone River (here's the coordinates 37.490124,-81.052872) I just updated the photo of his tombstone ( He is my great-great-grandfather and he along with about 2 dozen other Lilly/Cox family members are buried on what used to be his daughter's farm (my grandfather's mother's farm). I have tons of pics of the Ol' Homeplace (what the family has always called it) along with pics of many of the graves, though many are worn beyond reading and some are just headstones. My grandfather buried several of his brothers out there along with other relatives. I created a Facebook page for the family cemetery too ( It's amazing to hike into the woods and suddenly be surrounded by graves. It was hard times indeed in coal country during the depression with the man of the house in WV State Penitentiary.

Hope to hear from you soon, I'd love to swap!

I see that you posted a marriage for him. Do you know if his wife is also buried there? It's a distant cousin but trying to locate family for those who are looking later.
Thanks for any help.

This is my GG Grandfather my Uncle sent me a photo of him.
Blanche Chambers, Whitney, Cavault was my Great Grandmother we use to visit her in her Ohio home in the 50's.
Her daughter Irene Chambers (adopted by Minnie M Licklider Blanche's sister was my grandmother. This was all confusing at first because my dad never told us anything my uncle Bill sent me her birth certificate Irene Chambers, and her adoption papers. She also had a sister Lina Chambers Slack I knew her too, she lived in Detriot we use to visit her also. She came to our home in Miami to take care of Mildred my grandmother (aka Irene Chambers) when she was sick and passed. I did not know of William Chambers her brother! He looks a lot like my dad.
If you are a relative of William Ross Chambers e-mail me and I would love to talk with you and exchange photos!

RE: Manning Cemetery, Saxon
From Harper Road, Beckley, WV, travel west on route 3 approx. 14 miles. At intersection of route 3/99 go straight on route 99 west, toward Bolt. Travel 1.6 miles and turn right onto Saxon road. Staying on this winding road, you'll cross the PFC John Michael Davis Memorial Bridge. As soon as you cross the Bridge, turn left. In a short distance, this even more winding road will make a sharp right around the old ( no longer open ) Saxon post office and starts up a hill. From the Bridge, you will travel about 7 tenth's of a mile. The Manning Cemetery will be on the right, about 200 yards away from the road, on top of a hill. There is a small road going part of the way to it, but turns into a grassy path lying between two wooden fences.
