Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy locating "lost" cemeteries and doing complete surveys of them and other local cemeteries. I add as many photos as I possibly can as time permits or whenever I see a photo request. But first I add the person's name and dates so you know where your ancestor is buried. I tend to get involved in the people buried in the cemeteries and try to use my genealogy skills of over 30 years to link those buried to their loved ones. This is done to make it easier for researchers to locate family members.

I am happy to transfer your family and friends to you, as long as they aren't mine too. DO give me a REASON to transfer to you though! I AM A CARETAKER WHO IS ONLY WAITING FOR A FAMILY MEMBER TO CLAIM THEIR LOVED ONE. These graves belong to those who loved them, even if they never met in life.

Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown or a person from an incorrect cemetery into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my "duplicate". It is not fair that I spend my time, my gas, my $, hunt down owners of the properties, bee stings, ticks, poison ivy, and even risk to my life (bull in the pasture, scary men, and electrified fence-no snakes so far) to photo gravestones only later to find that an armchair F-A-Ger has placed a name in either an incorrect cemetery or has a burial unknown, finds I have actually found-the-grave, moves theirs to the correct cemetery and then expects me to delete my entry. I WILL TRANSFER my submissions after the incorrect entry is deleted. This way we both get credit and the person who makes the incorrect entry still has a memorial they maintain. I feel this is more than fair. This is in accordance with FAG rules! I refer you to Find A Grave rules: "In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location". Thanks for listening to my venting!

Happy hunting!

RE: Manning Cemetery, Saxon
Sorry, but your message got caught up with some medical issues, and then afterwards temporarily got delayed due to sheer volume of e-mails. I don't now where that Cemetery is located, but think I know someone that does. Let me check into it and get back with you.

Shady Springs Cemetery
Hello, my name is Don Dean from Madisonville Tx. I am new to all this genealogy stuff but am just totally fascinated by it. A cousin and myself are researching our gr gr grandfather. We ran into problems because our grandfather listed the wrong name on his fathers death certificate. It shows my gr grandfathers fathers name was Thomas Jefferson Giles but no other records were available with that name. We went thru a great uncles death certificate and found another name, Joseph Thomas Giles. The reason I am bothering you is my cousin found a death certificate for a J T Giles. It does not have a birth date on it but the age would have been very close. Also it listed his occupation as a miner which is also correct. Joseph Thomas lived in Fayette and Kanawha county his whole life so Raleigh county is not that far away. The death certificate states he was in the "poorfarm" and is buried in Shady Springs. I was hoping that you might have any clue or know of where we can check farther. My cousin lives within a reasonable drive of there and she is planning a trip soon. There probable is not a stone but hopefully some other records available. Thanks Don Dean

Thank you for creating a Find A Grave Memorial for my 1st cousin, 2xs removed, Find A Grave # 108840981 buried in the Sunset Memorial Park. You also created a Find A Grave Memorial for his young children, Donald and Joan Dolinger, both died from food poisoning. They share the same grave headstone, also at Sunset.

I posted information of proof below Frank's Death Certificate. I also posted Death Certificates for the children. It would great if you would link them together. Information of Frank's parents, siblings, wife and children are also included.

Thank you

Mary Gevia Pennington (Gilmore)

George Kennedy Gilmore Sr. is my grandfather, I am George Kennedy Gilmore Jr's daughter. Are there any records you are aware of that connect my grandfather and Mary Gevia Pennington Gilmore. The death certificate has her name spelled with two Ls. This, of course, could be an error. But, I am having a bit of a hard time tracking down any relationship between the two of them, other than the find-a-grave records.

Lucy Emma Hawley Fitzpatrick
Hi lady, hope you are doing well!! You sent me a message about Emma's siblings listed in her obituary. I looked back in family records and think that the "Mark" listed is Marquis, and "Howard" would be Andrew Howard. As for "Thelma" I'm not finding another daughter for John and Julina named Thelma. Emma did have a cousin named Thelma though. I looked at the WVA Vital Statistics and couldn't pinpoint one born to John and Julina. I'm wondering if maybe Thelma was raised by them and it isn't mentioned in the book. You have the memorial for Emma, maybe you could just add Thelma to her bio with a note that she isn't listed in the family history as a sister. I really don't know how to handle this one.
Thanks, Bev

Sebird Webb ?
Hi there

Is the Sebird Webb, Sr. 117959665 by chance the Sebird Webb who married Dora McGrady? I am just trying to verify where her first husband was buried and Sebird Jacob Webb was his name. I see Emily Smith was the first wife. If this is the same Sebird, he married Dora and had several more children before dying in 1919.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks for your help

RE: Henry Overton Harvey

I accepted all your edits for this cemetery. I did not create this cemetery so how do I add the coordinates?

Thank you,
