If you write PLEASE indentify yourself with findagrave. We usually DELETE anything from people that we don't know.
We will gladly add or delete anything that you desire. Our memorials are meant to HONOR the person who passed away, and to leave a record of that person's life, so that those who follow can access the information.
We encourage you to use the "virtual cemetery". You do not need to OWN a memorial to use it.
We transfer according to the findagrave guidelines, but please ask. There are exceptions.
THANK YOU to all the good people who work so hard to make this an exciting and usable site.

Thanks so much for honoring my Uncle with this memorial page. I was wondering if you would mind transferring the page over to me? He is my father's brother. Never had a wife or children of his own. I was talking to his mom, my grandma about this website (she doesn't understand computer's or the internet at all) and she is confused and would like the page to be in the care of family, if possible.
Thank you for your time and dedication to the pages you create,

That's the one. Thanks!!
Fred and Florence are from the Jackson area so there are no other family (that I am aware of) in Lapeer County.

How fun! I love the paths genealogy takes one down. I have a friend whose ancestor also fought at Stone Arabia.
Could you change the "ss" to "s" for Fred Kesler also? Thanks!

Wesley died in 2012. Do you have his obit? If not, I'll try to get it;) I've added his memorial in St. Cecilia Cemetery #128680403.

In most cases, it IS two 's'! Thanks for changing it.
This family's ancestors were part of the Palatine migration to the Mohawk Valley of New York before the American Revolution. Two fought at the Battle of Oriskany.
We have seen the name, in various generations, recorded as Kessler, Kesseler, Kesler, and Casler. In one generation, children from the same family used Kesler and Casler.
"Casler" is used by Walter D. Edmonds in his 1936 book, "Drums Along the Mohawk," an excellent book. The 1939 movie starring Henry Fonda is horrible.

I see you have changed the spelling of Kesler to Kessler. I am not sure why. I added photos of the markers and her obituary. They consistently spelled their name with one 's'.

Thanks to you folks for getting the ball rolling a few years back. Pete was my uncle. A good guy.
|Benjamin Kinsey||Robert Finney|
Thank you for the great posting of Robert Finney. He is my high school friend and I have know him for over 60 years. I also posted him, but I took mine down when I saw yours.
