Bio

Retired Aerospace Engineer.

I have written a book about my father's family, it is about 585 pages long and describes my Norwegian kin from their early days in Norway, the 1730s, to my family's immigration to America and of course how they have grown and prospered in America. The book is not for sale, I have given it to as many members of my family that want it and hopefully they will view it as an important add to the their family histories.

I have completed a book about my mother's family, again it is not for sale and has been placed in the Library of Congress. It took 7 years to research and write the book; it is about 730 pages long. It is called, The Cook Book, my mother's maiden name is Cook. Her mother's maiden name is Macon; so about half of the book is about the Cook's and the rest is about the Macon's; very interesting people. I have traced mom's Cook kin to 1673 England and her Macon kin to Gideon Macon who died in Virginia 1702. The editor for the Macon section was the leading Macon Family Researcher, Wanda Zachary Bone of Springdale, AR and her contribution to the book is inestimable. I have donated a copy of The Cook Book to the Bentonville Genealogy Society in Bentonville, Arkansas. I thought the book might have some particular resonance with families in Northwest Arkansas since the book is focused in that part of Arkansas and the following families: Cook, Macon, Miles, Mankins, Quillin, Danley, Kenemer, Mabray and Lewis.

I will continue to update Find a Grave information when I discover something that should be attributed to those who have passed away. As I research my family and find that they do not have a FAG memorial I will add them so others may see who they were and discover something about their lives.
