|Twenty-five years ago a friend told me she had a new hobby, genealogy, and how much fun she was having. I immediately contacted my mother who informed me that we owned three family Bibles. I have been deep into this ever since. I started with my mother's family in Loudoun County, VA. Her parents were third cousins, a fact she did not know. Of course I added my father's family, my husband's family, and both my daughter-in-law's and son-in-law's families. Then by adding wives, mothers, sisters, brothers, ancestors, descendants, I have ended up with a database of about 37,000. All are related to me or to someone I am related to. |
Most of my time has been spent in Loudoun County, Virginia. I wrote two books on Union Cemetery in Leesburg, a book on Monocacy Cemetery in Bealsville, Montgomery County, MD, Death Records of Fairfax County, VA, and co-authored books on the Death Records of Loudoun County, VA and Marriages after 1850 in Loudoun County, Va. I have also been involved in the preparation of Cemetery Books published by Thomas Balch Library. All of these books are available through Heritage Books.
I am more than happy to share any information I have. My cemetery pictures are there for anyone who needs them. They have been taken over the last 19 years. I will ask that you let me know if you are using a family picture because that means you are probably at least a cousin and I want to know you.
If you see errors, please let me know. Let's get all these people linked! But PLEASE everyone, use the Edit button on the memorial that needs changing! It takes about 2 minutes to make changes using that button. It can take 1/2 an hour or more to find the memorial you would like changed, if you don't use that button, and often I cannot be sure if I am looking at the correct person even then. In that case I may spend an hour or more looking. That takes away from someone else's time. Be fair!

I was hoping to add your pictures of Leo Woolls (137952397) and Eleanor Woolls (137952370) to my ancestry.com page. He was a distant cousin. Thanks.

Wondering if you could please transfer to me the record of my deceased wife, Linda Porreco.
I'm not sure about Kathy. I don't think she is related.
I'm finding more family members under your care. You've done a lot of work. They are buried in Arnold Grove and Ketoctin. They are aunt and uncles so I don't really need them transferred, (unless you want to), but I can send the parents and spouse info through the edit tab. Is that the easiest way to match them up? If there's an easier way, please let me know.
Thanks again for all your work with these.

Sorry, I forgot to give you the Find A Grave memorial number 81520446. Thank you.

I was wondering if you could please add the her mother to her record. She is my long lost sister and I finally found her, but it's sad that I never got to know her as she was killed in a car accident. My birth mother Margaret Louise Williams-Randall gave her up for adoption to her older sister's daughter Lorraine Stillions-Young. Lorraine married Embry Young.
