Thanks to my Mother; Mary Eugenia (Whisman) Davis I have quite an extensive Family Tree. Some of them go back 10 and 12 generations.|
I am a first generation Michigangander, but the first three generations of my ancestors all lived in Southeast Kentucky, Lee and Wolfe Counties for the most part. Before that most of them came from Virginia and North Carolina.
The last few years I have been on a quest to find and photograph as many of my ancestors gravesites or cemeteries as I can find. So far I have pictures of all of the first three generations, that includes; Father, Mother, all Grandfathers and Grandmothers all Great Grandfathers and Great Grandmothers,2 G.G Grandfathers and G.G. Grandmothers, 2 G.G.G. Grandfathers and G.G.G. Grandmothers and 1 G.G.G.G. Grandfather.
Some of my lines are: Davis, Whisman, Creech, Parsons, Tutt, Evans, Stamper, Pennington, Hieronymus, Crawford, Spencer and Hanks.
Some grave sites that I am currently looking for:
William Micheal Whisman and Isabella (Spencer) Whisman, Whisman Cemetery, Booth Ridge, Wolfe Co. Ky.
Henry Evans Sr. and Lucinda (Hanks) Evans, Canyon Falls, Lee Co. Ky.
James B. Stamper and Tamer (Tolson) Stamper,
Stamper Cemetery, Grassy Creek, Morgan Co. Ky.
William Stamper and Emily Stamper,
Stamper Cemetery, Grassy Creek, Morgan Co. Ky.
Dr William A. Tutt and Sarah (Stamper) Tutt, Faulkner-Tutt Cemetery, Wolfe Co. Ky.
*Found: May 7, 2013*
GPS co-ordinates are great.
I am a first generation Michigander but every drop of blood in my body came from Southeast Kentucky.
Because my address book has been hacked several times, I do not open e-mails that contain nothing in the 'subject' box.

|Gracie Katherine||Annie Roberts|
Thanks for the info. Would you know if she is related to Ella Linkous Davis? Ella was my husband's g.g. aunt. Thanks.

Thanks for the photos. I have a question about your Annie. Who are her parents? Have a great 4th of July. Take Care.
|Eileen Shelton||Zollie Creech|
Enoch Creech married on 05 Jun 1886 in Lee County, Kentucky to Lourana Jones. Spelling could also be Laurana and transcribed wrong by family search.
Zollie's mother died as Mrs Lorraine Cockerham in Monica, Kentucky on 16 Oct 1865 in Lee County, Kentucky. These two facts should have been able to be found in Lee County archives as well as all the years that she lived and was added to the censuses in Lee.
Laurana is the d/o of my 2nd G-grandmother Louisa Lawson and Andrew Jones. After Louisa Lawson married Jeremiah Brewer in 1869, only Asa Jones was living with them from her first marriage and Laurana was living with her grandmother Eliza Jane Jones.
To my knowledge, Zolliecoffer was her and Enoch's only child. Name is on the 1900 Lee County census.

I will get back to you late tomorrow or Sunday with all the info on Zollie. We had storms today so I was not on the internet and tonight I need to get some sleep before my brother's memorial service tomorrow.

Thank you. I am sure you did all you could in that cemetery. It is great that you are in Kentucky right now.
When looking for Laurana, and she does go by several names-Louranie- Lourane-- Lurance--Laurana, she died as Lorraine Cockerham in 1939 in St. Helens voting precinct and buried in Monica. Her second husband is Zachary Taylor Cockerham. Information for DC was Lillie Creech.
I only had Zollie, so I will look up his sister. Thanks for the information.
|Eileen Shelton||RE: Zollie Creech's mother|
Thank you for telling me the condition of this cemetery.
It was the younger Zollie(Zolliecoffer) Creech b. 1887, s/o Enoch that I was referring to. I think I saw the he was buried in this cemetery. His mother Lurana/Lorraine Jones was the d/o my gg-grandmother Louisa Lawson and her first marriage.
Marvin, I am doing some research on my family and saw that you said Mary Ann Parsons is your grandmother. She is my great great great aunt on the Pennington side! How crazy!

It was my pleasure.
|Linda Lane||RE: Bruce & Pearl Davis photo request|
Ok, well don't give up. When I get my ducks back in a row I'll give it another shot. Maybe one or the other of them was the purchaser.
|Linda Lane||Bruce & Pearl Davis photo request|
Hi there. I was at DeLand Memorial Gardens yesterday and hoped to fulfill your request for a photo for Bruce & Pearl Davis. However, the cemetery lists burial locations not by the name of the deceased, but by the name of the person who purchased/owns the plot. Seems very odd to me. Would you have any idea who that might be?
I'd love to take this photo for you!
