I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I enjoy photographing tombstones for FindAGrave. I have even been known to dig stones out of the ground. :)|
I feel it is important to document older stones so the information they contain is available for future generations. I do not consider my photographs "copyrighted". I post them for the sole purpose of helping other genealogists in their family research. However, if you post the photos on ancestry or another website, photo credit would be appreciated. :)
My goal is not to impress others by high numbers. I create many memorials just so they are documented, and try to add pertinent information to them. I'm more than willing to transfer these memorials to someone who can take better care of them, as long as they are not my relatives.
Surnames of interest to me: Solomon-Haberman (Jennings Co. IN & Saline Co. MO); Stoneking-Livingston-Long (Greene Co. PA & Tyler Co. WV); Wagaman-Turner (Missouri, Kansas, Washington); Pannekoek/Cook-DeVoogd-Waterloo (Kent Co. MI); LePard-Densmore (Kent, Ionia & Barry Co., MI); Kirby-Payne (Howard Co. MO).

Thank you so very much for checking cemetery records and researching Fair Plains history for Baby Boy Manley. It is very much appreciated!
Thanks Kathy for doing the search for Ernest Hammond for me. I apologize for the inconvenience. I had found his memorial and assumed the info was accurate.

Hi :) Just wanted to let you know that I posted new pictures for Emeline Long. My husband and I went out to the cemetery and he held the stone so I could take the picture. I thought they turned out good. You can now read the stone:)
Glad to help!

Hi:) I wanted to let you know that I took pictures of Justus Long and Emma Long graves today. I wanted to let you know that the top of Emma's stone is broken from the base. I took some pictures but they were not the best. I need to bring a friend with me to take some more pics of the stone to hold it while I take the picture. I am going to post some pictures for now of Emma's stone.

Yes of sorts I am related to Lydia Benedict. Her daughter Cora Bell married Harvey Wilder. Harvey Wilders son Clarence married Marie Julia Poore... Julia is sisters to Rosie Poore- Hepworth which is my husbands late Great Grandma. So much a long ways around the tree lol! But Lydias picture was in the book of the Harveys that I was reading so I had to "snip it" and keep it. Anyways i will work a little on this and see if I cannot get their Memorials connected a little better. I don't manage their memorials but i will send info off to those who do and see if they can get them updated :) thanks

I think I remember someone of Facebook saying that they were buried in the Fairbiew Rush Fork Cemetery, but I could be wrong. If you have Facebook, a good group to join would be Tyler County, West Virginia Cemeteries and More, they have a lot of stuff on there . Will check the Stoneking Memorials! Also, I added memorials for Richard and Mary Ivers on here. Just go to Williams page and look down at his family links. That way you can link his sister's memorial to her parents.
Also, how do you fall through the Stonekings of Tyler County? We may be related through that way too.
