Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello I'm John T. Griffith, born in Oceanside California, a Viet Nam War US Army MP Veteran and a former CHP Officer. In September 2002, I assisted the National Archives Center, Missouri, in replacing lost and destroyed US Army files. It was during that research project I discovered Find A Grave, wanted to be a part of it's concept and became a member. I have always had a passion for history and the people who have lived it. People in everyday life who through the needs and demands of their times shaped the world. I believe each day is a gift and the best part of any day is that day. I'm also a professional musician, still performing and haved shared the stage with many named artists. In addition, I'm a vintage guitar expert who has contributed, plus co-wrote for many vintage guitar books and articles in Vintage Guitar magazine about the subject. Plus I'm a photographer, writer and historian, for the San Diego Reader. I will gladly transfer any of my bios to relatives or folks with a concerned interest. I, my wife Mary and our Dachshund "Timmy", reside in Vista, California. Thanks and best regards, John

Ronnie Van Zant
Was viewing the findagrave memorial of Ronnie Van Zant and he has two on findagrave. One for his old resting place and a second one for his current resting place and the bio on the 2nd one has his birthplace at South Dakota. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida though. Can this be corrected? I thought I was looking at the wrong Ronnie Van Zant for a minute there. Thank you.

Zeppetella, Tony Willi
While following up on who wrote the tribute to Andrew Wood found your memorial for Tony. Your pain shows through which I take to mean you were very close.
It is nice to see that you keep adding to his memorial with each new development.
Heartbreaking at such a young age.
Just had to say how much I respect what you have done. Cyndy B.

Benjamin Bickford
John - Thanks so much for transferring the record of Benjamin to me. I have been able to add a few details to his record and will continue to link him to his ancestors as I discover which of the Bickford lines he belongs to.
Thanks also for your service to the country and it's veterans!

Gen. John H Pearson
Thanks so much for posting the picture & information on Gen. John H. Pearson. He is my fifth great grandfather through his daughter, Mary Pearson McKemie. I would appreciate any other information you have on him or his family. I have a copy of his will & some notes given to me.
Thanks for your military service. We lost my husband's brother in Viet Nam. He was a Marine. We have two grandsons who are currently serving. One is an Army recruiter & the other is a Marine.
