Bio

I'm the genealogist for the family. I love searching, and adding to the giant family tree that I have researched.
I am an art teacher, gardener, naturalist, book reader, and love puzzles. I love photography, and find cemeteries interesting for the stone sculptures and art on the monuments, and for the quiet peace you find there.
Growing up I spent may happy Sunday afternoons playing in cemeteries while my parents and grandparents tended the family's graves, planted loads of flowers, tended urns, washed the markers, and pulled weeds. My brothers and I became familier with the names on the tombstones as if they were name plaques on someone's home, as we romped and played. And it has become a habit of mine, now that they all are gone, to still feel quite at home in a cemetery.
