If you have time, please visit the featured memorial for June 2016...

Zachary Killinger, age 12

I am always willing to transfer memorials to family and friends; please don't hesitate to ask if you see I've created a memorial of one of your loved ones.

Have a wonderful day.

On April 16, 2014, the ferry Sewol, en route from Incheon to Jeju Island in South Korea, capsized. Most of the passengers were high school sophomores on a field trip. As the ship sank, the children were ordered to stay in their cabins, and most of the kids obeyed that order. A small number of people on deck were rescued, but the people inside the ship were abandoned by most of the crew and coast guard. The ship took three hours to sink. During that time, the kids recorded videos, took pictures and called their families before they all eventually drowned. In the end, 250 kids were killed. All of the children, plus a few teachers, other passengers and crew, are highlighted here. I ask that you please see the faces of these children. Read their stories. Maybe pick a child you feel compelled to pray for, keep their family in your thoughts. This was a horrible, devastating event that should never have happened, and entire communities are still reeling from this loss. Please, remember the victims of the Sewol Ferry Sinking. Remember April 16, 2014.

Jarrod Brown
The Shetland Cemetery Index does not go up to 2010. However, it does have a Neil Malcolm Brown, 1914-???? and his wife Alma (Wilcox)Brown, 1921-???? listed. Also a daughter Winifred Ethel Brown, 1949-1963. Would you know if Jarrod Brown would be in the same cemetery plot #215 as his grandparents? Otherwise it will be difficult but not impossible to locate his gravestone since the cemetery isn't that big.

Whatever additional information you can provide would be helpful.

Thank you
Hi Zina~

Thank you so much for the flowers you left the past two days for my Dad, cousins, and cats.

My Dad died two days before Father's Day and one week before his 65th wedding anniversary. But we didn't want him to live a day longer. He was alone when it happened and I will always feel bad about that. I also believe he was suffering (so much for hospice). That is what I have to adjust to, but otherwise I am doing okay, considering.

It was kind of you and means a lot that you took the time to visit my memorials.
