Addy ~These memorials that belonged to Scotty, were photographed by ChuckNorris and are being researched and updated by BluMoKitty. Once the updates are complete they are being sent on to the care of ChuckNorris. Working together has made these memorials more complete, with the hope that it will benefit others so they may find their connection to a family member.

Nancy C. McHaney Splawn Pell Lewis Bond
I realize that I have placed ALL of Nancy's spouses' names in her "maiden name" line. However, there are quite a few of us descendants who have looked for Nancy for quite some time. I have been contacted by descendants who knew her by one of these surnames but not her maiden name. They have thanked me for posting all her names. Without all the names in her memorial heading they would not have opened her memorial and found she was who they were seeking. So I hope you will understand the reason and allow me to manage MY ancestors memorial with flexibility of the "rules." Thank you for your understanding.

When stones are very worn - almost unreadable - I wet them with a spray bottle of plain water. The wet shine, sometimes with a reflection of blue sky, photographs much better than a flat, worn surface. Polished granite is shiny and reflects everything, especially the photographer; marble, even high quality, notsomuch. It glows rather than shines.

Thank you for the obit for Mrs. Pflum. I have added it to the memorial.

Thank you, as well, for your many contributions to findagrave.

RE: Death date of Emily Johnson
Her memorial number is 124194632. The reason I am asking is because you sent me an edit for her death date (day and month). I speculated to some degree because I assumed that the family moved her grave contents to Jefferson before or after the 1861 flood of the Santiam River that wiped out the town of Santiam and more than likely caused problems for those interred at Santiam. The Johnson family moved to nearby Jefferson, but after the death of George Johnson, husband of Emily, they spread out; mostly back to The Dalles in Wasco County. I have no records for three of the daughters, Mary Frances JOHNSON 1847 -, Cornelia A JOHNSON and Martha E JOHNSON 1854 -; they were all the marrying age in Marion County and I am guessing that they married and remained in Marion County while all of the other children returned and died in Wasco County with the exception of my great grandmother who died in Spokane. Thanks for the reply and any information is appreciated.

Hello B, how did you know the death date of Emily? She is my great great grandmother.

No problem BluMoKitty! I think they are more likely to happen when someone submits a spreadsheet. They are very hard to detect. Thanks for the fixes!

Request to use a photograph
I'm writing a history of the Boblitz-Boblett family and found you posted a nice photograph of Eugene Jacob Boblits, a Civil War hero. I would greatly appreciate being able to use it in my book and will give you credit. Thank you for your consideration.

Nicholas Froebe, died 1915 Oakland
On your memorial page for Nicholas Froebe, you mention two other sources for additional information on him. I am trying to locate his siblings, and have not been able to locate your referrenced sources on-line. Do you know if these sources mention any siblings?

Nicholas Froebe
I have added a photo of Nicholas to your memorial.
Have his obit from the Chatsworth, Illinois newspaper and a biography of his son, Charles, where his is mentioned. Let me know if you would like copies.
