Based on your comments, I went back and did a google search for Union Home Cemetery, Michigan and found a collection of headstone photos by Wayne Summers taken circa 2010. I didn't know how to attach a photo to this message and I don't have your e-mail address, so I was sure how to send it to you. You can find it, however, at:
Wayne lists the headstone as Graft Grubaugh, but he doesn't give a plot location. You can see that the headstone could easily be read "Craft", but it has no surname. It is likely buried near some Grubaughs. I seriously doubt that this person is a Grubaugh, but I haven't found any alternatives yet either. You can reach me at

Hallo Carole,

I found "FIND A GRAVE" as I searched Infos about Kirby / Kirby(e).

Rev. J.E. Kirbye was born 1873 in Eureka Clinton.
He wrote 1925 down the memories of his familie and ancestors. He changed his name from Kirby to Kirbye.
The reason unknown.
Much of persons lived in Eureka in this time he described in his letters "Youthfull Memories".

I found some of this names on the Stones in the cemetary.

Carole, I think we are researching the same family!! My children's gt-grandparents were Ted and Betty (Hunnicutt) Zimmerman of North Star.
