Bio and Links
Bio Photo I research many family lines>> They come from Pa to NC/TN, from KY to TX.Willing to take those of my family lines, extended families & those in our Smothers Tribe DNA project to manage when I run across them. I am glad to submit various family memorials as the info is gathered & given to me. It is my passion as a genial genealogist to assist others as much as possible.

..I like this from members pages "Let's make it a goal to add as much info, as we can possibly document, to these memorials."
.."I enjoy reading contributors Bio's but it's called that for a reason but Not, to use the space to reiterate guidelines by a contributor who feels the need to preach to others about how they should make their memorials. Believing we are all adults & know the guidelines most all do act accordingly & do not need preaching."
.."Any and all info or pics I have uploaded are meant for SHARING! I just don't understand anyone thinks different, if you don't want to share, than DON'T put them on a public site!"

Death certificates may be added via the "Add a photo" button on the memorial page. [that should end that discussion]I like DC for info and guides esp if one died young, why? It's important to visitors and family, esp if some inherited health issue family needs to know. DNA test called 23and me helps families know inherited fatal issues; passed from generations down.

"The Dash" based on little line on tombstone, between the dates of birth-death; ultimately, is a symbol represents each day spent alive on earth; how one spends the "dash" is what really matters; memorials hopefully give a glimpse into lives of that DASH!

Living on a working ranch, happily retired; heartfelt Passion for Genealogy; immensely enjoy working with members, helping folks connect with their ancestors; happy to make links, corrections & transfers. Esp appreciative of gravestone photographers; big Cudos!!Many kind thanks leaving flowers of ancestor memorials!
~Happy Trails!

PS-Not sure WHO deleted my pet peeve of going to my memorials, signing MY name and adding a forget me not flower I do NOT have in my scrapebook, but STOP IT! IT'S BEING DONE AGAIN PLUS DELETING SOME OF MY OWN SCRAPEBOOK FLOWERS!

Here ya go.....

Alfred Lee Truitt

Looks like his father's grave was behind his. I photographed several of the Truitts while there if you want any.

RE: Brightwell
Check the listing on here for that cemetery. I searched this cemetery for another name & don't remember seeing a Brightwell but some of the headstones are in bad shape. If there is one you want I can contact the church & see if they have a record.

This family is also not mine. Just took the pics since I was there at the cemetery. Just let me know if you would like to take over them and which ones and I will transfer them.

Thanks, I made the correction. If you are interested in taking over the memorials that would be fine. They are not my family line. Just took the photos when I was at the cemetery.

thanks for writing, i wasn't aware of the other entry; her and her husband's death cert says Lindenau as the name of the cemetery; both of these cemeteries are in the Lindenau Community;

i have requested photos from both entries; maybe there is a stone and we can confirm

In answer to your questions: the spouse name on the monument for Aaron Smothers is: Freeda L.
She was born Feb. 1, 1927. They were married February 26, 1947.
Note: If the person on the stone is still living, it is customary to not take a close up.
Also this may help you: There is an obituary for Aaron Smothers in the Southeast Missourian for June 7, 1989 (You can find old copies of newspapers under "google news archive - then find the Southeast Missourian".
it says: He was married to Freeda on Feb. 26, 1947 at Dexter Mo. He owned the College Barber Shop and was a member of Lynwood Baptist church.
The symbol on his stone looks like: ES Army.
Though the obituary also states he was a member of:
Harold O. Grauel Masonic Lodge; Cape Rock chapter order of Eastern Star; and VFW Post 3838.
Let me know if I can help further.
Have you ever used a website called "Family Search" it is similar to Ancestry and is free. They often have old records and you might find him and his army record there. Ruth

RE: Howdy!
Morning Nena,
I'm late in my reply because I thought I already had.
My error .
We are leaving Monday for the Smokie Mountains and a road tour of the Eastern states so packing and planning has been foremost.
Yes, Ziva is missed but a google search sez her contract was left open just in case, seems she left for a higher calling with the option of returning in case it didn't work out.
Later, and I appreciate the shout out. James Coston
