Bio and Links
I am a North Londoner of Irish Protestant and Anglo-Indian (or, to be more accurate, Hiberno-Caledonian-Anglo-Dutch-Huguenot-Indian) parentage. I was trained as a mathematician but, at the moment, am working only part-time. I have travelled a lot; not only around the British Isles, but also throughout: Europe; Africa; America (North only; I have yet to cross the Rio Grande, never mind the Panama Canal, although I did, once, venture across the Forty-Ninth Parallel for a month, and should like to go back to Canada again, sometime); Asia; and Australia. Unfortunately, most of those voyages were undertaken before the invention of the digital camera, so I can't show you too many of the graves I saw when I was abroad. When I am not travelling or working, or painting or acting, I am learning to play the piano and various woodwind instruments. I try to keep my body fit with cycling and swimming and karate, as well as by never drinking alcohol, or smoking, or eating flesh, or fowl, or fish, and I try to keep my mind fit with chess and crosswords and reading.

Please note; I am forever running around this world (as Jefferson Airplane once sang), and seldom check the computer when I am on my wanderings; but, if you write to me, I shall make sure that I answer on my return.

Hello, my name is Peter and I am from Holland. I wonder if anybody can tell me how I can get information about the people who send flowers to the grave of Mary. Thanks.

Agnes Calpin Brown
Hi Iain thank you for photographing this memorial to my cousins x3 removed. I thought you may like to know William Harwood Brown's mother Mary Duck (nee Scoffins) is also in this grave which I have confirmed with Scarborough Cemetery. She also is the owner and had it erected when her son was drowned at sea. I also have a photo of William Harwood Brown's grave in St James, Dover if you would like to add it too. My email is steph@holyrood.karoo.co.uk if you want any more info.

RE: Now it's my turn!
Dear Iain
Hope you are well, I seem to remember the last time we spoke you were under the weather, hope you have recovered.
I seem to remember Carol's parents grave is quite easy to find although I cannot remember how I found out about where it was, I think I must have rung the office, if you take the picture I took with you I am sure you will find it.
You are correct about Bliss, I have mentioned this at the bottom of my photos,if you wish to get in touch with F A G about it please do, as for my photo I love to change it every so often, one time it is Will Hay then Stan Laurel, at the moment it is Count Arthur Strong, a comedy character on TV a few months ago.
All the best to you and if you wish me for anything else please let me know.
all the best on your Carol quest.
PS she is not mentioned on he parents grave for some strange reason.
Yours as ever
MILKY.
