I'm retired and spend my time helping others find missing loved ones, who have long since passed away. I receive many kind messages from people that are thankful for the joy of finding a relatives final resting place. I'm all about quality when it comes to my memorials. Quantity doesn't mean a thing to me when adding memorials here. Hope you like the work I have done. My favorite sayings are below.|
Life is short, be selfish with your time. From the womb to the tomb, we are all related. Love remains, long after the door closes.

|Kelli weaver-miner||David Ogden is my g-g-grandfather!|
I am still a bit speechless to have found the entry you made on David Ogden, buried in Catlip Cemetery! I have been at a complete standstill on him for YEARS! No one ever knew where he came from, and which slave holding family he came from. My grandmother always told us that his mother had been Native American slave, and had David by the slave owner. I am planning on one day coming to Parkersburg to further my search, but could you please share with me how you found all of this wonderful personal information about David? I would love to know as I want to follow the trail further back to the slave families that emancipated him!!!
thank you so much for what you do!!!

Thanks for that, and no, I don't need my other message, thanks. I am beginning to think that even if I found relatives that had no idea we were related, that they would not have any knowledge of J.P. or any photos. I guess I should've started this search long ago.
|Joan Pauley Withrow||RE: Julian.Powell Withrow|
Thank you for your reply! I heard from another member who said that he believes the Fisher Cemetery shown on this website for J.P. is incorrect. (I wondered why he was not buried with any relatives, especially given he had siblings who died before him.) My mother was Jo Ann Withrow. I wish I knew how to see the messages I already sent, as I can't remember what I already wrote you! Thanks again!

Thank you for your reply, Rosa, and sorry for the late response, but I had misplaced my old records and couldn't recall the info without it. My mother's birth certificate lists J.P. Withrow of Charleston, WV as her father. Her mother was a waitress at the Harris Cafe in Seth, WV. When I tried to search records years ago, I believed J.P.'s parents were Charles William Withrow and Mary Elizabeth Duncan
Julian July 1891
Eustice E. Feb 1886
Cecil E July.1888
Laura Jan 1889
Pansy/Pansie March 1897
Charles A. April 1897)
I believe J.P. died MAY 13, 1935 at Mountain State Hospital, of cellulitis (skin/internal infection) and peritonitis (appendix/abdominal infection, onset April 1935) and is buried in FISHER CEMETERY.
My sister recently died of melanoma, and I am wondering if there is any possibility that J.P.'s "skin infection" was really melanoma. (Would they have known back then?) I would love to know if this is in fact the J.P. that is listed as my grandfather. I don't think any of his siblings would have had any knowledge that he produced a child. If you know of any of these Withrows that might have pictures of J.P., I'd love to get in touch. (P.S. I think J.P.'s dad is buried in Gwinn cemetery. And I think J.P. might have lived in Columbus, OH around 1930 before moving to "5 1/2 stop Dunbar (Lane)" ?) Any of this sound familiar to you? Thanks so much!

I noticed you added the Burial Records of Ira Day Rogers and Susan Elizabeth Jeffers Rogers. They are my great-grandparents. Would you happen to be related to them too, if not would you consider allowing me to manage them? I added a picture of the grave and a picture of Susan. Then connected their son, my grandfather Charles Donivan Rogers.

I see that you added the photo of Homer R. Robinson, buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Calhoun Co., WV. By any chance are you related? I am searching for his relatives. I have a photo that says on the back "Allison Durwood Robinson, II". I was going through my old picture frames yesterday, & since this person is not my family, I almost threw it away, until I saw a name written on the back. The boy is sitting on a pony. Ancestry trees say an Allison D. Robinson was born 1877 & died 1894, buried in Mt. Zion also, but I cannot find his name there on Findagrave. So, maybe another man was named after this one, and named "II" ? I would love to get this adorable photo to someone who might want it.
|Joan Pauley Withrow||J.P. Withrow|
First let me say it's amazingly generous how you are helping people connect with their ancestors. I am trying to track down my mother's father. Her birth certificate listed J.P. Withrow as her father, though she never knew him. I believe she was the product of an affair. She was an only child and I know very little about my genealogy. Is there any way to track down a photo of Julian Powell Withrow? I am assuming he was my grandfather, and I would love to see if there is any family resemblance. I don't think he had any other children, but I'm curious if I have other blood relatives out there. Thank you! Joan
