Bio and Links
Bio Photo Please visit my dad John Joseph "JJ" Farley and my mom Arlene Ida Wittenberg and other family members that I have linked together. If the mood strikes, thank you for leaving a flower or token.

Please DO NOT make requests by leaving a message.

Use the "EDIT" tab on the memorial to ask for any corrections, updates, or transfers to be made. I need the links the "EDIT" tab provides. Please make sure you're signed in as I need the link to your member page as well.

The 6th option on the "EDIT" tab - "Suggest Any Other Addition or Correction" is a free-form e-mail sent to the manager of the memorial (even when they have their e-mail address hidden from public view) and should be used when -

1. you'd like bio info added (or corrected),
2. you'd like to request a transfer,
3. anything that requires an explanation or source info; or if you'd like to contact the member without leaving a public message.

The "EDITS" tab on the top part of your profile page is NOT the same as the "EDIT" tab on each memorial page. This is where you will check on the status of most of the edits you request as well as approving or denying most of the edits sent to you.

Please read the FAQ's!(AKA - Help with FAG) There have been many changes to the FAQ's lately, please re-read them. If you can't find an answer or if what you're looking for isn't clear, please come to the Discussion Forums. There are many people there with years of experience on this website and are more than happy to help.

I do not link to memorials that are - "Burial: Unknown Location". Find the grave first, then we add all the other info.

I add these memorials as a tribute to those who have passed as well as allowing friends and relatives who cannot travel to "visit" and pay their respects.

All information shown on the memorials I create, has been taken from obituaries, provided by another member, was available on the funeral home website or taken from SSDI.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who have added their hard work, love and sanity to create these memorials. Without your dogged trekking through brush, nettles, rain, snow, ornery cemetery attendants, dusty historical registers and the like to photograph and record the resting places of those that have gone on before us, we would not have this website.

My heartfelt thanks to bill for sponsoring several of my family's memorials. He is a very kind man with a wicked sense of humor.

RE: Third Calvary Cemetery and the Golden family
Don't thank me. It has nothing to do with you. It is absolutely NONE of your business!

RE: Third Calvary Cemetery and the Golden family
If there is an option on Find-A-Grave for Third Calvary Cemetery and if the family says that their relatives are buried in Third Calvary Cemetery, I see no reason not to list that. It is more precise than saying just Calvary Cemetery. It is, as you point out, a very large cemetery, so if one is looking for the exact section for a burial, knowing it is in Third Calvary as opposed to First (Old), Second or Fourth is a good thing. I have consulted the family, who live and/or lived in Queens and I will go by what they tell me. You are not Find-A-Grave. You are one person using Find-A-Grave, apparently for your own purposes.

RE: Third Calvary Cemetery and the Golden family
I do not understand what your interest is in this matter. I am not looking at your memorials and sending critical messages about them to you.

I have written to Arthur Golden's son, who lived in Queens, and I am waiting to hear from him. I believe the family knows where their relatives are buried.

If Third Calvary Cemetery is a selection on Find-A-Grave there must be a reason for its being offered as an option. It doesn't necessarily mean it is in a different location, although as I told you, the grave photos were labeled, "Third Calvary Cemetery, FLUSHING, Queens, New York," by a frequent visitor to these graves and a direct relative.

Why do you need to tell other researchers what to put on their memorials? Who made you the expert?

Third Calvary Cemetery and the Golden family

I am also a little confused about why you are writing to me. I had written to Malachy, not to you. How are you involved in this?

Third Calvary Cemetery

The information I have about the Golden family burials comes from a family member who lives in Queens and who visits their graves often and has provided me with photographs, labeled, "Third Calvary Cemetery, FLUSHING, Queens, New York". Would she not know?

When I tried to enter Third Calvary on the Find-A-Grave memorials, I found that I had to use the "Find New Cemetery" tab to find a listing for Third Calvary Cemetery.

So, your messages to me are confusing. Is it not in Flushing?

RE: LINC Photos
You're very welcome as always. I know it sounds crazy, but for me this cooler stuff is the nice weather. (This dilapidated old body does not respond well to heat.) Anyway, I guess you get notified, but I used that "report a problem" to delete your requests for the Whimples in Section N. I claimed them yesterday morning (with all the other requests in that section, took the pictures in the afternoon and by evening when I went to post them found someone else had put pictures on them all. Second time, that's happened. Apparently claims don't mean much anymore.
Have a good one....Glenn

RE: email
Oakwood i usually just call for plot numbers. But all those buried within the last 5 yrs are all on the left side of the entrance. So just give me their names and I'll find them.
St joseph in bayshore all new buriels are in section 6 and 7. As long as you mean bayshore. St joseph's in smithtown i have no idea, I've never been there. But send those names over also.
wellwood and beth moses for some reason don't have interment search engines, not sure why. Those ones if you can call for plot numbers then I'll go and get them. Ive only called over there once trying to find my brothers friend and the person I spoke to wasn't very nice. I don't know if I just caught her on a bad day.
st. Charles send over those you have plot numbers for, and then once we have them all uploaded together we can call and ask for plot numbers for the others. Some workers you can give a long list to, and others no more then 3. It would be so much easier if they had a kiosk, or online search.
I've gotta run so I'll talk to you later.
