|P. Dagwell||Richard & Mary Dagwell|
Thank you so much for responding to my request for the headstone of Richard & Mary Dagwell.
I could not believe I would get such a prompt reply. Many thanks.
I must now see if I can find a link with my errant gt uncle Henry Edw Dagwell who left the UK for King's County N.York 1867. He had children by his "wife" Mary McFarland but we cannot locate them. But the name Maria is in our family so who knows? But that is part of the joy of finding one's history.
Should you ever need a pic of a headstone in East Kent UK, let me know.

The cemetery database does not list Elisabeth Bigg at all. Emily had to research their paper records to find the burial information and letter she sent to me.
|Carole Keeler Wyland||RE: Me again|
Emily Chapin from the Green-Wood Genealogy Team sent me information regarding Elisabeth, who was 43 years old when she died 6/23/1870. Also a letter from Edelia V Simonson giving permission for use of the grave for Jacob Kaler's burial, purchased on "June 26, 1870 for the burial of my mother's sister Mrs Elizabeth Bigg". After further research, found that Edelia's father was Vergereau Simonson, her mother Adelia Kaler, also daughter of Jacob and Mary Kaler. Adelia and Elizabeth were sisters. Another of their sisters, Rosanna, resided with Edelia and her husband in 1900, listed as "aunt".
Jacob and Mary's DOB are questionable - just going by census records over the years. Two census records show him born in Ireland, the rest show Kings County NY. Mary was born in England, but cannot confirm her maiden name or DOB yet.
Thank you for the picture of Elizabeth Miller!!
Thank you for taking the photos of my ancestors' resting areas.
