Born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Hobbies include historic preservation of commercial and residential buildings, ancestory research, art, literature, and music. Completed restoration of her Victorian home in Harriman, Tennessee in 2006. The house was placed on the National Historic Registry, receiving the Certificate of Merit Award in 1991 by the State of Tennessee, Department of Environmental and Conservation, Tennessee Historical Commission. The home has been featured in Victorian Home Magazine (1998), Roane County tourism "What to see in Roane County," videos, and several State of Tennessee brochures placed at State Parks in Anderson, Roane, and Campbell Counties. She became a very proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Clinch Bend Chapter, in 2021. Vickie sold her home in Harriman, retired, and moved back to her hometown Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
