Bio and Links
Bio Photo Taphophilia (a passion and enjoyment of cemeteries) has been my main hobby since the late 1970's when I was a junior in high school. I discovered that cemeteries in and around Los Angeles were the best places to hide from truant officers. It was in these adopted sanctuaries that I began to appreciate my surroundings: the grounds, the headstones, the architecture, the artwork and most importantly, the residents.

In October of 2010, I founded The Traveling Taphophiles, a group that sets out once a month to visit cemeteries. Our travels have taken us as far as New Orleans. I'm fortunate to have met others that share my hobby and to have forged some great friendships along the way.

Once photos have been posted, feel free to use them as you wish - photo credit isn't necessary.

Happy Graving ~

Louis DuMort

Hi Louis,

The Name of the group he was in is called Black Tusk. On his page it simply says Tusk.

From a French taphophile
Dear Louis, I live in France, where I enjoy being a taphophile too, and God knows there are quite a few interesting cemeteries around, especially in Paris! Next April, I'll be back for a few days in LA and San Francisco (glad to enjoy some more errands in your fabulous cemeteries): is there by any chance something that has already been planned by the Traveling Taphophiles? Best, Michel
P.S.: Your name "DuMort" sounds familiar, wonder why... ;-)

RE: Jack Bruce
Yeah! That's happened to me several times when I was working on a bio. Yours is still good though as usual.

I totally understand your side but hate to see all my work for not, hard to understand some of Find A Graves rules, especially in this case where his line is documented from his beginning to his end. That said, I will turn my head the other way, take a deep breath and say carry on, you do nice work.

Revere Bio
Thanks for writing the bio for Paul's memorial. I really appreciate it, you did better than I would have.

Paul Revere
Hi ya Louis, I just found out this morning about the passing of rock legend Paul Revere. I just wanted to mention you did a great write for his bio and thanks. I've also added a photo of he and the original lineup of his band, "Paul Revere and the Raiders". Best always,

Billy Ward's bike
Hi Louis,

This grave had a temporary marker when I was there a few years ago. I see that a nice stone has been carved, that depicts Billy's bike.

Thanks - George
