I am researching all the World War I veterans from Arizona, and who died here for The Great War Doughboy Search. Many are already on Findagrave.com. I have located over 15,000 (as of May 9, 2017) and and I am not finished yet.

Arizona is unique because it was the destination for health seekers who suffered from tuberculosis and other lung ailments, then it became a popular retirement destination. Anything having to do with the United States involvement in WWI has someone associated with the event or place buried in Arizona. My Facebook page "The Great War Doughboy Search: Arizona and WWI" has updates on the project. The Great War Doughboy Search: American World War One Veterans has more information, including research resources.

I have been doing researching my own family since 1973. I love my ancestors and I am grateful for the sacrifices they made for their descendants and for our freedom.

Also, I will restore bronze markers of veterans free of charge when requested by family members.
