In preparation for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary in November 2009, I began researching my family's history. My research initially resulted in three notebooks containing ten branches of my family tree. My parents' positive reaction to their unique anniversary gift prompted me to become an amateur genealogist. I devote several hours each week researching my family's past. I look forward to the day when I can retire from my full-time job and spend more time working on my genealogy hobby.
