Hey my name is Josh, I've been grave hunting roughly 12 years now. Having an interest in organized crime I originally started visiting the grave sites of Chicago mafia figures, I've been to many gangland figures buried in local cemeteries in and around the Chicagoland area.
Being that I'm a Detroit native my interest in grave hunting eventually expanded to the Detroit area. To date I've been to the grave sites of Detroit mafia figures which include Purple Gang members and Detroit's Italian mafia, local inventors, celebrities which include Motown musicians, and others in the Detroit area, Civil War Generals, and other war hero's, Medal of Honor recipients, old time baseball players, politicians, descendants of European royalty buried in Detroit, Titanic survivors buried in suburban Detroit, among others.
The interest I have with grave hunting goes along with my love of Military and general American & World history.
On a final note some of the pictures that were contributed by me on F.A.G. were from my old website Beneath Detroit Cemeteries which is now offline. That's why a few say Beneath Detroit Cemeteries on the photo. I'm currently in the process of working on a new grave hunting website project that will showcase photo's & videos with biographies of notable people who's graves I've visited. In the meantime I have a blog which documents my findings, recent hunts I've done, grave hunting videos that I've shot which I've uploaded to You Tube, grave hunting book reviews among other things. You can find a link to my blog below.
Hi! Good work, Josh! I never knew that one crypt in the mausoleum at Holy Sepulcher was the same Vito Tocco...By the way, my Dad's parents are buried just a few feet away from his crypt, in the second or third room on your right as you walk out of the elevator. Lawrence and Christine.
