This site honors the memory of all those who served in the Spanish American War, Philippine Insurrection, and China Relief Expedition from 1898 to 1902. With the virtual cemeteries, it especially lifts up those who received the Medal of Honor. Not all resting places for Medal of Honor veterans have been located. If you can identify any of the following, please leave a message with the memorial number for any of the following: [China Relief Expedition, 1901] James Burnes (US Marines); [Philippine Insurrection] John A. Huntsman (US Infantry). [Spanish American War, 1898] Thomas Cavanaugh (US Navy), Ernest Krause (US Navy), Frank Hill (US Marines), William Levery (US Navy),and Frank Williams (US Navy). Currently we are also seeking all soldiers, sailors, and marines who were aboard the USS Maine on 15 Feb. 1898. If you know of someone's plot that is not listed on one of the two virtual cemeteries, please contact this site. Please go to http://www.spanamwar.com/cemetery.htm for the centennial listing of grave registrations and/or http://www.ssawv.org/index.htm for the web site of the national heritage organization of descendants.

The primary manager of this site is The Rev. John S. Sims, Natl. President of the SSAWV 2017-2019. The official web site is SSAWVHQ.org.
