I did not forget! birth was in Mass. still cannot tell you where Capt. comes from. There are several W.W. Gray's in the Civil War One likely in Illinois but not sure. There are several tidbits at Merced County Genweb. More later, Linda

Thank you, Row, for creating this memorial and for the quick response with the update, I really appreciate it! I have been looking for him for a very long time. He was one of 19 children and I have found all but 4, I believe his sister and another brother are also in this cemetery.... more later. Thanks again!
