I believe that FindAGrave serves as a tremendous genealogical resource and that to do so is not in concert with my genealogically oriented FindAGrave comrades. My work is my gift to posterity and, one day, I will be honored to appear at this site.

Did you know Chessie Chestnut? It's such a nice photo of her on the memorial. She was my Grandfather's sister.

Yes, I'm still interested in claiming requests. I recently finished a couple dozen puzzling ones for Michelle in MtV & IOOF she couldn't find. A lot didn't have stones, but managed to figure out their location well enough for a photo which she liked too. So stone or not, will do my best.
Thanks for the vote of confidence on edits.
Happy Holidays : )

Row Walker, I thank you so much for transferring
William Jackson Templeton's memorial. I will honor his memorial.
|Edgar Allen Pie||Find A Grave Photo Request / Patricia GALLUP|
Hi, I'm happy to fulfill your Find A Grave request to photograph the headstone of Patricia GALLUP at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, CA. Because there are more than 100 open requests for this cemetery, please call the cemetery's office at 310-836-5500 and get the specific plot number of the grave--I can't go to their office and ask for the locations of 100+ graves! :-)
Once you've got the location, message it to me and I'll go take the picture as soon as I can.
I will be heading to the cemetery this Sunday so if I get your location information by then, I will be happy to post your photos then.
|Amy Elizabeth||RE: Johan Sebastian Wonder|
Hi Gary, thank you so much for visiting my mom's memorial and the thoughtful note you left. Regarding Sebastian Wonder, he was my husband's fifth-great grandfather. For many years there was a Wonders/Van Hyning family reunion in Zanesfield, Ohio every year and we attended once. I'm not sure if they still have it? Sebastian's great-great granddaughter Virginia Wonders married Mortimer Van Hyning, and many relatives from the family still live in the Zanesfield area. Thank you again for your kind words :) - Amy Van Hyning

...and now you inspired me to find Mary Elizabeth Frye as well (the author of the poem on the top of my page). I even added both of their memorial #'s on my page. So glad you came to tell me where Mr. Palmer was, because it's inspired me to do more.

Thank you so much for sending me his memorial! For whatever reason, I had never thought to look up the people who's poems I have used for years. This made me quite happy to be able to leave a note and flowers on his memorial. I would love to know more about him.

|Nancy Collins||Euel Bush|
Hi, thank you for lighting a candle for my grandfather. I'm glad to have found you here.
A while back you helped me identify Frankie Fox - father of my uncle "Bud" Frank Fox who was married to my aunt Myreta Bush, Euel's daughter. I told my cousin Cheri about you and she loved hearing you ran the Anaheim streets with her grandfather. It was a special information that she really appreciated as she doesn't have much information about the Foxes.
Also, I have to tell you I really like what you wrote on your profile - it's just how I feel.
Thank you again - best to you and yours, Nan

Pleased to meet you Gary!
Thanks for the information....I will do some searching to see what I can find and see if there is a link somewhere. Genealogy is my passion! When all else is done you'll find me doing research, sometimes in the wee hours of the morning when the mind won't turn off, I'm at my computer!
I work at the local Family Search Center helping individuals research their families.
My personal email is firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to keep in touch.
My line comes from (Prussia)Germany somewhere around 1830. My John was born in 1806 and his wife is Elizabeth.They had three sons and a daughter. Nicholas, John (my line), David and Caroline. I have not been able to find exactly when and how many came, but I'm searching. The main problem is there are so many Westricks in Ohio, and I have so many variations of spelling it's hard to say what the correct spelling is so I try them all!
You have a great day! And even if we can't find a direct connection with the little information we have it's great to meet a "cousin"!
I thought I would let you know I have The Thomas Robinson Funeral Home books in Selma. Records 1890 to 1992. Also I was working on a few this morning and you had posted pictures. Some of those pics did not open and were not showing, a glitch some where maybe? So If I make a suggestion and it shows in the pic I apologize.
Shoot me an email if you are searching in the Selma area. Rose We still need to meet!
