Hi, my name is Todd. I was born and raised in Chicago and I am the youngest of eight children.
I became interested in cemeteries about 5 years ago and discovered the Find A Grave web site about 3 years ago. I am very family oriented and perhaps that is why I find beauty and solace in the places we choose to lay our loved ones to rest. Cemeteries are a reverent, holy and sacred place we can go to remember the people we loved. Many people find cemeteries scary and approach them with trepidation but I think they are beautiful and each one is unique in its own way and a place that we can visit to honor and show respect to those people whom we shared out lives.
Each gravestone tells a brief story or history and is a testament to someone who lived and loved and continued the story of humankind's wonderful journey. Our loved ones continue to live through our memories and our stories of them. May God bless.
