Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have a particular interest in visiting the graves of my heroes which tend to be mainly racing drivers or racing motorcyclists. These include Donald Campbell, Mike Hawthorn and Tom Pryce. Few are included on the Find-a-Grave website, something I aim to improve upon.

Oh, and was it possible to get photos of the inscriptions you found for them? I mean, if they are there, I could "Request a photo?" Would it be do-able? if not by you, by someone?

Thanks millions!

The Wooseys and Hewitts
Hi!

I'm finally back online! I found Arixene, Alice and Copley by searching Find-a-Grave—I haven't even read your emails that you must have sent! I took more than a month off reading emails and when I tried to get back, I had to change some things to reestablish my connection.

I am THRILLED with the work you did to get my beloved relatives on Find-a-Grave! NO ONE but you would have done such a wonderful, detail-filled, job as you have!

Thank you SO MUCH! Soon I'll make the connections with the Find-a-Grave numbers.

Oh, and I've added a portrait of Copley, so that the one of him "taking a nap" isn't the first one you see! Can that photo be cropped to it winds up with him sitting up straight, looking noble in his scout uniform? (He worked with Lord Baden-Powell, who founded the Boy and Girl Scouts) and scouting activities took place at the Friars! (I read that.) And thanks for that photo, too! I had not seen it!

Walter Bäumer
Hello Paul,
I'm Hans living in Buende/Germany. Today I visited the grave of Walter Bäumer.
Please correct the place of burial. It is not the town of "Bunde" but the town of "Bünde" or "Buende".
The town of Bunde is another German town in the northern part of the country.
Buende (Bünde) was the birthplace of Walter Bäumer (Baeumer) and he was burried in his hometown.

Regards from Bünde

John Taylor
Hello Paul,

I recently visited the church of All Saints in Newtown Linford in Leicestershire and didn't come across John Taylor's grave anywhere in the graveyard. I think you may have got the burial location incorrect?

Well done, you

Paul,

What you have undertaken to do here is absolutely grand and is a fitting tribute to these heroes of motorsport.

All the best,
Jan

Georges Boillot
Your information is incorrect. Boillot was buried in Vadelaincourt but was exhumed on 1921 and buried in Pere Lachaise in Paris. I have been to Vadelaincourt and checked the listing in the cemetery and he is definitely not there!

RE: John Hartle
Maybe I should have marked them in some way when I posted them.
That is my handwriting on the top of the picture and I have the original print and the negative is filed away somewhere.
Publications have contacted me for permission to use the picture and offered a fee. The fee is not important but the use without permision is.

You still need permission of the owner to use it.
