Bio

I started doing some geneological research which led to my discovery of 'Find A Grave'. Part of my research included finding the graves of my ancestors and keeping a photographic record of what I find. While I was walking the cemeteries I started seeing familiar names of family and old friends so I photograph them and put them on the website. Sometimes I just shoot a photo of anything that catches my interest such as some of the older neglected markers that I find. I also have been registering the gravesites of Civil War veterans with the "Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War" graves registration database. Since 2012, I have begun photographing all of the cemeteries around Leipsic, Ohio. ...And I also discovered that cemeteries are a nice peaceful place to take an easily distracted german shepherd dog for an evening walk.

Transfers

Please use the edit tab on the memorial to request a transfer. Send your Find A Grave membership number and your relationship to the deceased. It is my policy to transfer memorials to family as long as I am not related to the deceased.

Additions and corrections

I try to get the information in the memorials as accurate as possible but sometimes the only information I have is incomplete or incorrect. I prefer to work from photos that I shoot when visiting a cemetery in person, and for the majority of the memorials that I have entered into Find a Grave, a headstone photo is the only documentation I have.
Please use the edit tab on the memorial to make additions and corrections. Since Find a Grave now links to other websites used for genealogical research, please try to be as accurate as possible to keep this site a useful resource. Unless you have firsthand knowledge of the deceased, please research, document and verify information when making edits. If something does not look right to me I will recheck and verify the information and you should do the same.
