My home is circa 1784. Its situation is such that it fell in the line of battle during the conflict between the States. When my father died, I was too early at the cemetery for the appointment concerning the necessary arrangements. To pass the time I paid a visit to the antique shop close by. Displayed there was a book which possessed a title that gave me the idea that my home may be mentioned within. Upon opening it, the pages fell directly to a description and photograph of my old place. It was not intended for the purpose, but the volume became a much worn field guide as I sought to visit and photograph other ante-bellum homes in the vicinity. I pursued that objective with interest and vigor. This caused me to notice the old churches en route and I began to photograph them. Behind the churches were cemeteries. Cemeteries that I found to be serene and sublime, full of lore. In turn they led me here and I stayed.|

My bad -- sorry for the confusion about Larkin White! There are four of them buried at Hollywood covering three generations, and I picked up the wrong one.

George, love the picture of your son! Quite a chip of the old block, err... granite? (Sorry couldn't resist a cemetery bad joke.)

Thanks so much for posting this picture of my gg.
Do you mind my asking how you were able to get this photograph?

Good afternoon. Are you any relation to John T. Wakenight? If not, would you please consider passing management to me?
John T. Wakenight was my 3rd-greatgrandfather. My cousin, Charles Sands, is the person who purchased the gravestone for the John. We have lots of info we'd like to add to the bio, which is easier to do if "we" have management level.
Thank you for considering this request.

|James Hankins||Memorials 29138295 and 29138319|
George, I'm James Hankins. While updating my memorials in Henry Co., Va., I found your subject memorials, Jacob W. Ward and Effie L. Ward respectively. My related memorial is Margaret Louise (Ward) Hairfield, Mem 50877094.
Margaret is the wife of my 4th cousin, O.W. Hairfield. I have update information for your subject memorials, and request that you link your memorials as husband and wife. I've already linked Margaret's Find A Grave entry at my location to her parents.
Additionally, Jacob's middle name is Wade (Jacob Wade Ward), born in Kentucky. Effie's middle name is Lee and her maiden name is Jordan (Effie Lee Jordan), born in Virginia. They were married Apr. 26, 1917, Inez, Martin Co., KY.
Lastly, if you'd like to transfer management of them to me, my Find A Grave# is 15003416. If have no issue with you keeping management because technically, they are on my in-law side of kinship. Regards, James Hankins

Happy New Year -

thanks George, yea I figured they werent buried there or their tombstones were gone. Since they have a marker at both places, I put a note on the Virginia site, so hopefully this will help when people look on there.thanks for the info.
I have information on a number of your memorials and before I go to all the trouble of sending them, I wish to know if you are one that does add the information coming to you on the memorials. Many do not and it is sad.
