Bio

I was born and raised in South Carolina, but have lived and worked in several states, as well as a five year sabbatical in Europe. After my return, I was blessed with a daughter in 2013, and she is the center and the anchor of my world. I have been further blessed with the true love of my life in 2019 - who completes us and makes us a family.

My days are very busy with my career, genealogy research, photography, the herb and vegetable garden - not to mention - raising a young lady who loves horses, drawing, gymnastics and Girl Scouts. Motherhood has turned out to be the absolute journey of a lifetime.. and so has the partnership and commitment I've found in my mate.

My grandmother got me interested in family history about 25 years ago, and graciously allowed me to be the keeper of her research.. she had been tracing our roots for over 30 years, before I became interested in genealogy.

Sadly, she is no longer with us. But in her absence, I have become the Family Historian and the keeper of records. It's a life-long passion that continues to fascinate, amaze and sometimes puzzle me.. this path has taught me the value of both patience and of perseverance - which have come to be key life lessons.

I have expanded the foundations of my grandmother's research over the years, and now have a large database that grows ever larger! If anyone is interested in my family branches, I will be happy to share and exchange information.

Research branches include (in A-Z order):

- North Carolina -
Albright, Collins, Efland, Fowler, Grant, Gulledge, Haney, Harrell, Hasty, Helms, Rogers, Smith, Stegall, and Swanner.

- South Carolina -
Cameron, Dean, Elliott, Grant, Gulledge, Hasty, Horton, Hough, Hunter, Kershaw, Nelson, Nettles, Peach, Peavy, Rogers, Roscoe, Smith, Steen, Truesdale/Truesdel, West, Williams and Young.

- Tennessee -
Albright, Carroll, Ford, Foust/Faust, Gibbs, Graves, Irwin, Loy, Miller, Ridenour, Rosier/Rozier, Sharp, Snodderly, Steiner/Stoner, Stooksbury, Tillman and Wilson.

I may be missing a few, but will update them as I find others.
