RAINSFORD ISLAND CEMETERY - BOSTON HARBOR 2-12-2014
Currently posting 1850 - 1890 searching for Civil War Soldiers. Burial information indicates sad and tragic place.
GALLOPS ISLAND CEMETERY BOSTON HARBOR 7-3-2014 JAN 1871 -MARCH 31, 1873 JAN 1902 - MARCH 1902
CATHOLIC MOUNT AUBURN - UPDATE 9-16-2015
Comparing burial records to Ancestry.com Military Service records. 139 Civil War Veterans found, although there may be many more do to common names and occupation noted as "Laborer"
Completed adding available newspaper information for cause of death: homicide, accidents and suicide.
2nd edit 1854 - 1920. Completed 4/11/1854 - 12/31/1920 - 21,830 burials.
Comparison completed of Findagrave postings to my spreadsheet. Edits and corrections made.
It appears that many infant children deaths, and some adults, were not recorded by certain cities & towns.
Many burials at Catholic Mount Auburn are misidentified on the City/Town death records as being buried at other cemeteries. All area cemeteries are mentioned. The Mount Auburn Cemetery (noted at Cambridge) is incorrectly noted many times.
1854 - December 31, 1920 Edited using death certificates. Online death records end at 1920. MISSING RECORDS:
Missing June 1, 1882 - December 31, 1884
Jan 1 1910 - June 30, 1911

Thank You, Bill, for your response to my request. I am not surprised that there is no headstone. It seems that the Lynns weren't big on them. I have located more than forty Lynn graves, mostly in Holy Cross in Malden, and the only headstones I have found were put there by the other side of the family!
Thank You, also, for all the work you have done for the Find-A-Grave community.

Thank you so much! That certainly makes it clear it's not MY Charles Brennan. Weird about the dates being the same.
You are providing an invaluable service to all of us searching for answers.

Hi Bill, Thought I had found my great grandfather in Williamsport, PA- then I find this listing in Massachusetts.
It has the exact same dates of birth and death as the Williamsport Brennan. Wondering if there were any death records you may have found regarding this Brennan?
Really appreciate the work you are doing.

Bill, thank you SO much! This list has opened up some walls, and of course with genealogy, presented more questions. Like the relation of the non-Sullivans on the list to the Sullivans. I'll keep digging.
Thank you again. Very much appreciated!

Thanks for the additional info! Would you be able to also get the details of another lot? Several related Moriartys seem to be at Lot 59 Row 6 East. Thanks in advance!

Bill - so I should go ahead and 'unclaim' the two graves?
Thank you for adding the transcription of Honora Masterson's stone and the additional pictures. It is appreciated.
|Lisa Clark||Patrick & Ann Clark's Childrens grave|
Thank you very much for taking a picture of the tombstone but I'm hoping to find out if you took notes. When my great-great grandmother died Patrick had the deceased children moved to be buried with their mother in Malden's Holy Cross Cemetery. I found this out when my father was buried in the "Clark" family grave.
The cemetery didn't identify the children but noted that there were several children re-interred with her from Mt Auborn Cemetery.
If you have any information available please send me an email....
The stone is pretty well worn and I can't actually read any of the names. Do you have the info?

Thanks for the photo and the info you sent previously. I have been ill so I haven't had a chance to put all the pieces together. Hopefully soon.
