RAINSFORD ISLAND CEMETERY - BOSTON HARBOR 2-12-2014

CATHOLIC MOUNT AUBURN - UPDATE 4-5-2014

MANY EARLY CAMBRIDGE DEATHS NOTED ON CEMETERY RECORDS DO NOT NAME A SPECIFIC FIRST NAME. I AM REVIEWING THOSE DEATHS TO CAMBRIDGE DEATH RECORDS & ADDING THEM TO FINDAGRAVE

Headstones are completed.

April 1854-1866,compared to cemetery records and Ancestry.com death records.
Cambridge, Somerville, Belmont & Chelsea records are not yet on Ancestry.com. There are many name errors on the cemetery records.
This is the final review and I am adding maiden names to Findagrave.com as I find them.

So far the municipal burial records for Catholic Mount Auburn are noted as:
Watertown, R C Cemetery Watertown, Mount Auburn, Cambridge and a few as Dorchester

May 1882 to December 1885 records have not been done. The Catholic Archives does not have them, however I have not checked with the Catholic Cemetery Association. That will be done at the end of this project.

I also have a list of 87 Civil War Veterans buried or memorialized. Please email if you want that list.

I am happy to transfer names.

Transfer requests for Mt Auburn Catholic
Hi Bill. Last year you transferred Mary Downing's memorial to me. Could you please transfer the other memorials to that plot (Lot 6 East Rd right side) to me?

John Bryant, #106727289
Catherine Carroll, #85115638
James Bogue, #106727701

There was another burial in the same plot, Daniel Barry died 2-14-1876, that I can no longer find on Find-A-Grave. Do you know what happened to it?

Also, I was told by Robert Lally-Johnson at the Boston Archdiocese Archives that Mary Downing's mother, Mary O'Brien Downing, was buried in Lot 6 West. Do you have any information re: burials in that plot? I sent a request for information to the Catholic Cemetery Association but they said they had no information (then again, they said the same thing about Lot 6 East Rd).

Thanks for all your time and work.

Transfer
Care to transfer the following: Cecelia Gilgan Monaghan #-94883462 & James Edward Monaghan #-86082857? She would be a great, great aunt.

RE: Silas Bullard Death Record
Thanks for the transfer! I am aware of the misinformation at Ancestry.com. Unfortunately, there is a LOT of misinformation there. Silas' parents unquestionably were not born in England. Neither were their parents or their parents before them. Silas' Bullard line arrived in New England in 1634. Thanks, again, for the transfer. I appreciate it. :)

Quill
Thank you so much for finding the rest of the Quill family members. Was so happy when I clicked on and found the extra ones.
The Quill family is my husband's great uncle, aunt and cousins.
Thank you so much.

RE: In the Henick lot
Bill,

Thanks for the information. I am researching the Henicks for my college roommate. Thanks for taking the time to set up their memorial.
