All photos of graves that I have posted were taken by me and may be copied freely and posted on other websites. There is no need to credit me or identify me when they are so used and no need to request permission beforehand. I won't be annoyed if you do anyway, but it really isn't necessary for the grave photos taken by me. Most photos of persons that I have posted were not taken by me. Please check the photo caption to determine the source (most often an obituary).

The photos were taken with a Sony Cybershot camera, which takes 4896x3672 (18M-pixel) images. The original JPG files are 6-7 MB in size. I then use GIMP, an open source image processing program that can be downloaded for free from gimp.org, to rotate, crop and rescale the images. Usually I set the horizontal resolution to 1200 pixels, sometimes up to 1600 for panoramic scenes. I use a compression "quality" setting of 50 to 70, most often 60 to 65. The resulting picture files are usually 250 to 300 kB, with some up to 400 kB. Limiting the file size to that range allows snappy downloads when opening the image at full resolution.

This is my wife's family and her grandfather always resented having his name changed. Giving him his name back is a way the family would like it done.

The year of birth listed for Mrs. Garman isn't correct. I was wondering if you could update with the correct year please!

Wife of Douglas K Garman, both buried at All Saints Cemetery.

Thanks!

Hi Eric,

Thanks. :-) I'll go with the death certificate in this case. I appreciate it very much.

Eric,
Thanks for the update on his whereabouts. I have updated my memorial and contacted the other memorial owner notifying her that her memorial is a duplicate.

Matthews Edits
Hi Eric! I got your message and yes, the "this will remove accurate data" message is odd, but unfortunately, Find A Grave doesn't give many choices of reasons when you decline an edit. Personally, I think they need a "I can't find anything to verify this" option!! :) I had "gotten in trouble" when I approved an edit that someone sent in when they didn't post any proof of the change they were suggesting. Turns out the info was wrong and some guy just blew up about it. Find A Grave sent me a message and suggested that I ask everyone to post proof before approving edits. UGH! It's so time consuming for me, and it takes time away from my research when I have to look up information to verify all the edits I receive. So any help would be appreciated. Thank you for understanding!

I see, yes. That makes sense. I had not thought it that way. What a shame to have nobody that knows you after you pass:( Tks again
