Our Pruitt/Prewitt family reunion in Tuscaloosa Alabama. We had a great time getting to know our family and branches from Tuscaloosa Alabama, Chicago, Dallas Texas, Tulsa Oklahoma, Oklahoma City and California. We had the opportunity to exchange family history, photos and visit the Old Prewitt Slave Cemetery where many of my ancestors are buried. It was an amazing, awe-inspiring experience to stand in one place on earth which contains their mortal remains and to see important pieces of their life perhaps carved into stone. We are a family running 8+ generations strong and reunions are the anchor to our past, present and future.

During our family reunion we had the opportunity to visit other cemeteries; where our ancestors are buried and add them to find a grave with photos of their headstones: Ebenezer Cemetery, Cedar Oaks Cemetery, Pole Bridge Cemetery. Holly Springs Cemetery, Greenwood Cemetery, Oak Ridge and several others.
