Louisiana has been my home state most all of my life. Trying to piece together generations is certainly a challenge, but is a necessity to leave ancestry information for our children and generations to come.
I am Mom to 4 wonderful children (2 girls, 2 boys) and Nana to 6 beautiful grandchildren (4 girls, 2 boys).
Having lost more than 20 family members/friends in the years since Hurricane Katrina alone, FindAGrave and my family's ancestry has become somewhat of a therapy for me.. Searching for and posting memorials has comforted me immensely and at times, brings me to tears.. It is my hope that my efforts are respectful to everyone, as it is NEVER my intention to upset, hurt or anger anyone. Therefore, if I have any memorials that belong to your immediate family and wish to have them removed or corrected, please leave me a message with your loved one's information and forgive me for adding to your grief.. I am still in the process of creating, linking and updating personal family members and would be honored to assist others if needed..
My teenagers, especially my daughter, share my passion and enthusiasm for FindAGrave and therefore takes our searches very seriously, as though every resting place holds a personal family member.. Everything that we do here is done with much love, care and respect..
With the understanding that searching can be both rewarding and heartbreaking, PLEASE don't judge anyone because of deeds committed by ancestors that are beyond our control. Each of us have a history and future and what we leave to our familys is up to us. Love everyone with an open mind/heart and for who they are, regardless of their historical status. Remember that good or bad, God has created our families according to HIS grand design..
