Bio

I have been recording genealogy and family histories for approximately 40 years. This has always been an interest of mine--since childhood. I live on a piece of the old farm where I was born and my family has owned for generations. Several lines of my ancestors have been in this area of Southeast Georgia for over 200 years. I am a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, both of which I am very proud.

I have been a member of Find A Grave for much longer than stated above. I was unable to access my old account and had to start anew. I've always enjoyed visiting old cemeteries, as well as old houses.

My husband, Larry, and I have published two pictorial history books: "Treutlen County, Georgia" in 2008 and "Montgomery County, Georgia" in 2010. These books can be purchased online at Arcadia Publishing Co. We enjoyed visiting people in these counties who invited us into their homes and allowed us to scan their precious family photographs.

Anything I post, photos or memorial biographies, may be copied and used for personal use as long as you give me credit, just as I personally do if I can find the source.

I welcome corrections and additions to my posts and will respond to all messages. This site is a wonderful tool, but it is only effective if those who post memorials will strive to place them in the correct cemeteries and will continue to maintain them.
