Please do not leave religious flowers on memorials unless you knew the person and therefore know what religion (if any) they practiced.

PLEASE - 90% of the edits I receive are for memorials created by Harvey. Please leave him a flower in thanks for the memorials. His memorial is #207276505 and is located here.

In January 2020 my distant cousin and Genealogy collaborator, Harvey Abbott, died. He had designated me as the person for find-a-grave to transfer his memorials to. Over the last few years of his life he had attempted to document Flushing Cemetery (NY). He and his camera were very busy. I went from a few thousand to over 28,000 memorials almost overnight. I would like to thank all of you who have contributed to reviewing and updating the memorials he created in Flushing Cemetery (NY). I also continue to review the memorials as my time permits. If you would like to have any of these memorials transferred to you please ask. Neither Harvey nor I are related to anyone in Flushing. If you are reading this please take the time to leave him a flower. His work at Flushing Cemetery was truly amazing. His memorial is #207276505 and is located here.

I am honored to temporarily manage his memorials but hope to find a "forever" manager for each one. Please ask if you are that manager.

I WILL CONSIDER TRANSFER REQUESTS. I definitely transfer out of guidelines. Please ask. If I am related to the person being requested I may choose to keep the memorial. To request a transfer go to the memorial and click on the Edit button. Then choose the option "Suggest any other correction or addition". In the box that comes up simply request a transfer - you do not need to explain to me how you are related or why you want the memorial. If you list multiple memorials in the same request be sure to include a link to all memorials or at least the memorial #s, full names, and dates. Please do not request all memorials for a last name ... i.e. all Smiths.

THANK YOU!
