You don't know me, but I just happened to stumble across the memorial for your beautiful baby sister today. The story touched me so deeply; I have a four-month-old daughter myself. Then I saw that you left a note only yesterday saying your Mama had just passed too. Please accept my deepest condolences for your losses. I know nothing I can say can ease the pain, but do know that someone far away who's never met you has shed a tear and said a prayer for your family today.

Thank you very much for the grave photos you added to the memorials of Lucille Roell and her brother Thomas Grantland. I appreciate your help. Thanks.

Tracy, I do not have any marriage or birth records for your branch of the family. I know what you mean about difficult to find any information on this branch of relatives. My relatives that married into the Grantland's had a lot of divorces, and spelled their surname several different ways. The Lindsey name would some times be listed as Lindsay, Linzy, Lindzey, or Lenzy.
I checked the SSDI site and found your grandmother listed as Jo Ella Williams from Little Rock, her birthdate is listed March 22,1918 and her death date May 30, 1993, in case you want to update her memorial.
Good luck in your research.
There are two memorials because two different people put in memorials for her. Usually the oldest recorded date (2005) stays in and the other is removed by asking the person to remove it because it is a duplicate. Personally, I think the newer recorded memorial in 2010 is the better because she is linked to her husband and one of the pictures is better. You need to contact the person who added the older one (2005) to see if they would be willing to remove their memorial. Whichever memorial stays can link her to her parents (you request it).

Hello, I transferred the memorial to you, it falls under the Findagrave guidelines. Claude was related to me through his mother. Claude was my 1st cousin 3 times removed. His mother Lula Reed was my 2nd great grand aunt from her marriage to Stanford Lindsey(Linzey). If my records are correct your grandmother (Jo Ella) is my 2nd cousin twice removed. I have her as the daughter of Claude Grantland and Oma Cox. If I am wrong, please correct me, so I can keep my family records straight. Emory
Good luck on your genealogy
