I also go by Sgt G - if I've left a virtual flower under that name, then I've been by to honor someone who has served either their country or their community - or both. I was an MP with the US Army and served during the first Gulf War. My last duty station was with the 24th ID at Fort Stewart ~ Rock of the Marne!|
If you would like to manage a memorial that I've created, or to just send updates or corrections, please contact me through the edit tab on that particular memorial page.
I frequently get messages to add marker inscriptions, military rank, military dates of service, civilian titles, and other bits of biographical information to the memorials that I manage. The majority of this information is already engraved on the marker and LEGIBLE to anyone who looks at the photo. So before you request that I add the information you are getting ready to send me, ask yourself if it is really necessary or is it already engraved on the marker - clear and legible for anyone to see it.
Family lines I am always working on: Andrews and Mashburn (Sevier County/Tennessee).

|Russ Zaccari||RE: Transcriptions|
Conflicting information is a huge problem. If I have reason to consider them suspect, I decline and ask the person to submit their documentation because I have something different. I feel your pain.
As to Carpenter's Hill, I shot 200 pictures Sunday and I am work my way through there. I believe I shot every named stone in the place so you will likely see more coming. I already have 2 that I have to revisit for. If you have something specific for me to look for, let me know and I will add it to my list.
I was reading your profile as you are managing one of the graves I visited today. I noticed that your comment about not putting in visually obvious transcriptions. The problem with that is that there is no way to search that data if it is not put in. I know there is currently not a function to search transcriptions other than your own managed ones but I am hoping that this will be fixed at some point in the future. Just a thought. I understand what you are saying, just an alternate way to look at it.

Jami, I just now saw this message (04/02/2014) and I apologize.
I have sent an e-mail to my brother-in-law to see if one person in a group photo is Daisy Katherine and as soon as he responds, I will let you know. So sorry. Ann

Thank you so much for updating the info onto his memorial. I also wanted to say Edward Michael was very much wanted. I was 5 months pregnant with him when I lost him. He was very healthy when the Doctors did the autopsy. He would have been my first. I have pictures of him that the hospital did. I also now have a 4 year old son named Gabriel Edward Michael. I think Edward would have looked like Gabriel and he would have been a good older brother. I have had 2 miscarriages between Edward and Gabriel and another miscarriage after Gabriel. So I am really grateful for the birth of Gabriel. Also Edward Michael is always in my heart. I really enjoy the fact of his grave marker is on this website, and I am thankful for all you do.
