I also go by Sgt G. I leave flowers and tokens under that name to honor those who have served our country, their community, or both. I was an MP with the US Army. My last duty station was at Fort Stewart, Georgia with the 24th ID (Desert Shield/Storm era) - Rock of the Marne!|
Before requesting the transfer of a memorial I manage - of someone not related to you - please consider adding that memorial to a virtual cemetery that you can manage yourself.
I welcome and appreciate corrections/updates/bio info for all the memorials I manage. I may or may not make any changes to the family memorials I manage but will consider everything you send me. I initially got involved in this website to correct mass uploaded inaccurate memorials for immediate and direct family members and it has taken me years to sort all of that mess out.
Please also be aware that any online newspaper obit you ask me to copy and paste to the bio section may be edited for privacy - I will however give you credit for submitting it.
The 'edit' option on the memorials is an awesome and handy tool in making updates, links, and corrections, but I draw the line at adding titles and the like. Not all are listed in the drop-down and more often than not, are not correct anyway (military rank specifically). If I didn't already upload that information, then I left it off for whatever reason and probably added it to the bio. In most cases, it can be clearly seen on the marker.
Having served on active duty myself, the omission of rank or title (E/O grade) is not a sign of disrespect, rather one of respect for recording the correct and proper rank and/or title.
Direct family lines I am always working on: Andrews and Mashburn (Sevier County/Tennessee), Gobleman (Germany and Ohio - all spelling variations), and Corley and Langley (Tennessee).
I am making some progress on the James, Mosgrove, and Dimm lines and am uploading family photos where possible.

Sounds good, Jami. Thanks for writing. And I like your "profile pic". Kansas City had its own "deer-in-the-cemetery" story but this one didn't turn out so well. Here is her memorial. And here is a short essay written by a member of the cemetery's staff. Heck, she even has or had her own Facebook page. The cops were able to find the a__hole who shot her but I'm not sure if any charges were filed. Tom

You're very welcome for the photos of the stone for SGT Walker. It's my privilege to be able to be so close to Arlington National, such an honorable place. Thank you for taking time to send me such a nice message!
