Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in genealogy research for over 15 years. I enjoy taking photos and adding the information to this site in hope that it will help someone researching their family. I especially enjoy filling volunteer photo requests because it combines my love of photography, genealogy and volunteerism. If you see any mistakes or have additions to my postings, please let me know and I'll make corrections. I reserve the copyright of all my pictures.

Tip: Please include the gravesite location when requesting a photo. This can be done by calling the cemeteries directly.

The Green-Wood Cemetery Grave Locations
In the past you have included Lot and Section numbers on the memorials you created. Why have you stopped?

Please include grave locations for the sake of the volunteer photographers.

Thank you.

Margaret Gregory Hicks
Good morning. I hope you are well. I am interested in the information provided on the page of Margaret Gregory Hicks d 6 September 1905 and buried at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

Would you be so kind as to advise me where this information came from?

Thank you very much.

RE: Otto Alkenbrecheer
I took pictures of several other graves in the Alkenbrecher family plot. I believe I added all of them to Otto's F A G memorial.

The light was getting low when I took those photos, so I amy go back and get better ones.

Christina's lettering did not show up very well. Again, I may try when the light is better. I will also try and clean them off to show the lettering n more detail.

Teunis Schenck Remsen
There are two people by this name. The one I have listed was born in 1820 and died in 1901. His mother was Catherine Schenck and his father Johannes Remsen. If you look carefully at the gravestone with his entry on Findagrave you can see his name at the top of the gravestone with the dates 1820 and 1901. He was married to two different women named Elizabeth who are both on the stone. His son Jacob Duryea Remsen is on the same gravestone. We have visited the Evergreens Cemetery in Brooklyn and seen the stone. Teunis was my husband's great-great grandfather.

I have done two searches of Plot 44 and unable to find the gravestone of Mr Alkenbrecher. I have been unable to find it. Plot 44 is a realatively small plot, but there are many stones that have fallen face-down or are badly deteriorated by weather.

I am going back soon and will try again.

Best regards,

Coonrod family
I have searched Plot 58 for the tombstones of Alfred and Ida Coonrod; I was unable to find them in two attempts. In Plot 58 there are any lot markers. So I think I was able to find where 4915 should be and there were open spaces there.

Ella Coonrod Foster - I was able to find her grave and that of her husband. This was a short distance from tier 49.

Judson and Anna Coonrod. I also did one search of Plot 59 and found what I think should be lot 5158; again, there were open spaces, but no gravestones.

In both cases there were no overtunred gravestones.

I will be going back again and give it another try before the snow comes.

Best regards,

RE: Memorial# 151746418
As you know, members have 30 days to respond to requests. This is your third request in less than 30. I don't generally transfer outside of site guidelines and especially not to people who refuse to work within those guidelines. Additionally, some parts of your story make no sense. You didn't bother to make a memorial for one of your 'best friends' in nearly a year. You haven't sent a single edit or bio. You have not posted a single photo, either. So I am declining your request.
