Forget the zip code - I cover all of Josephine County, Oregon, especially the Historic Cemeteries. I have been a cemetery crawler all my life, and now, as Historic Sites Chair for the Josephine County Historical Society, I have a good excuse to go play in cemeteries in all my free time. I have a database of over 13000 burials in my county, and photos of most markers. Since some of those markers have since been vandalized or weathered to the point of being indecipherable, my photos are sometimes better than seeing the stone itself. I also have a large (and growing) database of obituaries and other related information. I do not charge for my material. Family history belongs in the hands of families, not in a box under my bed.
RE: John Rone Hi Jean, We miss you in G.P. also. I should have gotten the grave & plot # but I got to talking & forgot. The grave is next to the sidewalk west of the flag pole & even with the wide part of the cement that the flag pole is on. The grave south of this one has a headstone but there are 3 graves in a row including this one with no headstones. I thought I had every headstone photographed & that's why I took this request to see. I'm human & could have missed one. I spent 3 months starting in April last year photographing every headstone in Hillcrest & I have a request to check out tomorrow there to see if I missed one there. Like you I enjoy helping other people with their relatives. Mark Johnson
I took that in 2013 so apparently it had been remounted by then as I didn't realize when I shot the picture that it had been down. I am planning on going out there in the next few days now that the weather is so nice, will double check the back side of it, but I think I would have shot the picture if she was listed back there. (unless I just didn't check) Will let you know.
RE: Jennings Family Tried to re-send friend request but Facebook is no longer giving me the option to do so. Sent you a private message on Facebook. Maybe you can access my page that way and send ME a friend request.
