Bio and Links
Bio Photo Forget the zip code - I cover all of Josephine County, Oregon, especially the Historic Cemeteries. I have been a cemetery crawler all my life, and now, as Historic Sites Chair for the Josephine County Historical Society, I have a good excuse to go play in cemeteries in all my free time. I have a database of over 13000 burials in my county, and photos of most markers. Since some of those markers have since been vandalized or weathered to the point of being indecipherable, my photos are sometimes better than seeing the stone itself. I also have a large (and growing) database of obituaries and other related information. I do not charge for my material. Family history belongs in the hands of families, not in a box under my bed.

Sorry - I do NOT go out of Josephine County.

Just a thanks
Hi Jean, thank you for your volunteer work with headstones on F-A-G. Your attention to detail is outstanding.! I came across a picture you submitted this year of a very distant relative. (Memorial# 26710734). You obviously had to get down low and close to take that picture and u added the lot #. Superb.! Best wishes, Kenny

I actually knew Bill and Lucille Galipeau. I hadn't seem them in probably 40 years but my wife and their daughter Linda were friends.

Jean, I didn't realize the close-up headstone photo didn't upload. I'm having problems with my iphone right now; when that is solved I'll be able to finish Mr. Forbush's memorial page. Then you'll be able to see the the headstone is shared with Juanity E (1918-1983), his wife. I will duplicate the photos on her page.

My pleasure, Jean. I made a note that the headstone is loose. I don't know what your relationship is, so I don't really know who to tell. Is it the responsibility of the Park to assure the headstone is secure? I had not come upon that issue before.

RE: Thomas D Bailey
His memorial reads Bailey and yes it should be Bailly. Is that what your edit was correcting?

RE: Thomas D Bailey
You have submitted an edit to correct his name. Would you check if your edit includes Sgt Thomas Daniel Bailey and if not would you cancel and make that change. I am connecting some of his family to him.

Re: Benjamin Stillson
The folks at the cemetery couldn't tell me why. There are 4 or 5 rows and each stone has with 4 names.
