Thank you for finally adding this marvelous opera singer to the site. I am in the process of writing her biography, and, while all reference books give her birth year as 1871 or 1872, extant birth records at the Evangelical Church of Saint Mary, Anklam, Germany, state that she was born June 15, 1870. She was a naturalized American citizen at the time she was killed in an automobile accident in Berlin on February 22, 1932.

According to the "Report Of The Death Of An American Citizen" drawn by the American Consular Service in Berlin on March 22, 1932, she was cremated at the Berlin-Wilmersdorf Crematorium on February 27, 1932, with the ashes given to her husband, Hans Tauscher. What he did with the remains I do not know.

RE: Phillips in Cobourg
Thanks for the lead to the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid. I've just found a number of bits of information to add to my database. Should you come across pictures of the markers for any of those Phillips daughters, I would appreciate your adding them to findagrave.

Thank you for her headstone photo! Did you happen to notice if her husband, John Houston, was buried next to her? I have no dates for him...

Phillips in Cobourg
Any chance that daughters of Joseph Phillips and Mary Stanton are also in the Cobourg Union Cemetery. They are Harriet Minerva Phillips (1813-1839), Mariah Hannah Phillips Stanton 1807-1902, Miranda Phillips Gillard 1809-1901, and Louisa Almira Phillips McCarty 1816-1851.

Are you aware of any listing of the burials in that cemetery that I could check? I would love information on their burials and pictures if that is possible.

RE: Davis
Hi K

Did you get to the Bridgenorth Cemetery? Did you find the death dates for Rod & Victoria Davis?
We have more people looking for this line but not much success so far.

Joseph and Mary Phillips
Thank you so much for adding these pictures for me. This people are my 3rd great grandparents, and I doubt I would ever get to Cobourg in person to see the gravestone.

So many thanks again,
Julie Busse
