Thank you very much for adding the picture to Sgt. Max Steinberg's memorial.

Sgt. Steinberg is not a relative of mine, if he is related to you or you are known to his family, please let me know and I will transfer management of the memorial to you.

RE: Paul Amberg
As I recall, the accident happened before dawn. We had the last guard shift and were being picked up by one of the drill sergeants driving with a 2nd Lieutenant riding shotgun. We were on the paved road begween the highway and the dunes/firing ranges. It seems like at a curve the Sgt. Lost control on some sand and the stake truck with about eight of us in back started tipping over. I remember flying sliding off even though Paul and I were sitting with our backs against the headboard. He was on my left and I was sitting in the middle. I remember waking up on my hands and knees with a tremendous headache. I looked over at the road and saw it strewn with injured soldiers, the truck upside down and all four wheels spinning.

RE: Paul Amberg
Paul was killed when the truck on which we were riding during basic training guard duty flipped over on the road connecting the beach-side firing ranges. Paul suffered massive head injuries. I was sitting beside him on the truck and I was thrown clear of the wreck. When I regained consciousness and went to him, he was already dead. There was no motorcycle involved.

Hi Joe Walker:

Thank you for the lovely tribute to my second cousin, once removed, Anne Reher Livio.
I never met Anne but am looking forward to meeting her daughter in June.
In an effort to update my records, may I please use the three photos you have on Find A Grave for my Ancestry record and my own personal records?

Burial is at Holy Cross Cemetery,

Kimberly Martin
There is already a memorial to Kimberly. It has flowers and remembrances on it, so I suggest you delete yours and add your pictures to the original
