I have been in genealogy a short time, and find it very interesting. I am trying to find more details and more names, and the searching is half the fun! (Kinda like putting together a Jigsaw Puzzle.) Some of the surnames I am interested in are Williams, Moran, Grove, Schmedel, Otto, Bender, Strzyzewski, Cesarz, Christensen, Langendorf, Dorfmeister,(and countless others).
I have my tree started at tribalpages.com. Please feel free to stop over and say hello, and if you would like to share any tips, and family branches, that would be great! I would love to hear from you.
I wanted to thank everyone for adding virtual flowers to all my friends, family, and interments, (even the family and friends that I did not add, but are here). I have been trying to return the good gesture, but if I haven't gotten to some or all of your interments, please be patient. I think it's a wonderful thing to give flowers to someone, even if it's virtually!
Danish Kin Hi Dawn, I see you have an Andrew Christensen of Denmark listed. He does not seem to be related to me. Do you know where in Denmark he immigrated from? Do you know when? I lived 2 years in DK and did a lot of research at their archives. I returned to USA in 1998 and do on-line research into the Danish archives. The Danes are super organized, so research is fairly easy. But you need to know from which parish your Dane came from. If I can be any help, just ask. Jim Sindberg
I saw your request for a photo of John's marker in Miller Cemetery. I believe the record is incorrect. John's wife Florence is there, but he isn't. There's another memorial for John (105808657) that has him in St Cyril Cemetery in Peckville. Perhaps you could work with the owner of that memorial to consolidate and delete one of the entries?
RE: Friend Its been a long time!! I haven't had a lot of time recently but every once in a while I get little tid bits!! I am currently the Historian for a new Daughters of Republic of Texas chapter we formed last year under Catherine Cynthia Overton.
