Bio and Links
Bio Photo We work as a team: Russian-Danish family living in London and currently working in the Middle East. County-keepers for England. Being foreigners in the countries we live in, we are very interested in all Russians and Danes who found their last resting place away from their home countries. We will be grateful for any comments, advice and links to memorials.

Thanks to this wonderful website we have found many friends all over the world and the amount of mails we receive increase all the time. We appreciate all the mails and ALWAYS reply but sometimes it takes longer than we would like to.

We prefer to get your questions and corrections through e-mail (use the EDIT tab in the memorial). Please include your own e-mail in case we need to write back to you.

Find A Grave Memorial# 127289565

I had the burial date but that does not show when she died. In her case her death was registered in the 3rd quarter so she presumably did die in July but she may have died late June. Without the death certificate one cannot be sure. My own mother was cremated in a different quarter to her death.

I have updated the page as far as is reasonable.

RE: Zoe the Macedonian
Hi, Sorry, I can't really help- I wrote this one a long while ago and I can't remember the source for the burial location, if you can find reliable information on her grave I would say get the Find A Grave memorial changed accordingly.
Enjoy your trip!

RE: Dame Emma Albani
Sounds reasonable...I've thought about rewriting her page. She was a singer for the ages.

Elizabeth Frances Darwin, nee Fraser:
Elizabeth Frances Darwin, nee Fraser: first wife of Leonard Darwin = need details for her F-A-G. entry!

Is she buried in the Putney Vale Cemetery? Martin.

The LDS database has her dying 13 January 1898 at Egerton Place, London, London, England and buried 17 January 1898 at Putney, Wandsworth, Surrey, England, citing Visitation of England and Wales (1893-1921), Howard, Joseph Jackson, (21 volumes. London: [Joseph Jackson Howard], 1893-1921), FHL (Family History Library) book 942 D23h., additions and corrections vol. 6 p. iv..

Thanks for message, not so much a Duplicate as a second memorial for the same person. I have added the photo as a source I had not had time for that so far. The link you sent I have added on bio thanks!
Always interesting to know why a person has a memorial in a particular place. I am researching some war memorials specifically in Tunbridge Wells and entering details as I find them.
Sometimes the link is very remote.
best regards

Gerald MacManus
Lord Frederick Cavendish

You say he is buried in St.Peter churchyard.
I also understand that a window in memory of Cavendish was placed in St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, at the cost of the members of the House of Commons. His imposing white Carrara marble tomb can be seen in Cartmel Priory, Cumbria. There is also a memorial to him at Bolton Abbey.
Have you seen any of these?

Regards Gerry.

RE: Roderick Musgrave, & others
None were calculated. All were carefully researched, using Took quite some time I might add. Don't really know why I decided to do this today, except that I was watching a documentary that briefly featured Mount Zion Protestant Cemetery, and I just started to look up the ones with 'unknown' Birth dates/places (the majority of which are in England). I am aware of the guideline you mention, but I assure you that all of the edits submitted were looked up and checked. I hope you will reconsider, and thanks.
