Bio and Links
Bio Photo We have been researching our family for about 30 years and have traveled to several states for genealogy. Many of our memorials are for "extended" family members, but others are not. We hope someone finds the information we post helpful in their own research.

Except for those photos listed within our *Posted with Permission* virtual cem, every tombstone or cemetery photo we post was taken by us on the date indicated in the photo caption.

-- All contributor-posted photographs are intended for PERSONAL USE, unless stated otherwise. To comply with current Copyright Law, you SHOULD NOT post (and/or republish) any contributor's cemetery or tombstone photos elsewhere without permission.

-- As contributors retain the copyright on ALL photos that they have taken and posted, it is actually NOT acceptable to just indicate you took the photo from Find A Grave (since this site does not own the copyright to any of the contributor-posted photographs).

Regarding our cemetery and tombstone photographs, specifically...

-- We will allow most instances of unaltered OTHER USE, but with the added stipulation that you MUST provide a photo source citation (by referencing both "Find A Grave" [or] AND our profile name AND # in the Description) for any of our photographs taken from this website; for example, "Photo courtesy of Find A Grave Contributor: Law-Miller Roots (#47103448)".

-- Note that you can provide a link back to the Find A Grave memorial, instead of copying (i.e. Ancestry's built-in "weblinks" function can be used for this exact purpose). This option works quite well.

-- Please do not download and then republish any family portraits we post, as these come from private family collections. Some of these photos still enjoy copyright protection and are NOT in the public domain.

RE: Catherine Starr Knorr #99045806
It says that her second son was born in June 1875. Hence my confusion.

Several years ago you had put in a photo request for Francis Ballard and his wife.

I found them

It's hard to tell if McConnell vs. Connell is the result of a submitted edit.

However, Rebecca's PA death record shows she was the daughter of James Conrad & Margaret McConnell. It's a fact that the usage of the "Mc" and "Fitz" prefixes on Irish names was very fluid in the 1800s. They would disappear and reappear based on individual preference. The PA death record shows that the family's preferred form carried the Mc prefix.

RE: Turley

I am so sorry to bother you again with the Turley issue. I just checked and the memorial page has been deleted. Sometimes I get the cart before the horse.
Now that is indeed a blessing from F-A-G. So now I will let you get rest, so you can enjoy some healthy days.
Take care.

RE: Turley
Hello Marilyn,

I am very sorry to hear that you have been having some health related issues. May God grant you so healthier days ahead.

I contacted Find A Grave about deleting the extra photo on the "Turley" memorial page and the reasons behind the issue. That was the best way to handle it at this time. When it is deleted then I will contact you again for your part in this matter.
Your co-operation is greatly appreciated.

Blessings to you.

William C Linhart
You have him as the son of John Linhart 48908630, but cemetery records show him as the son of Philip and Eliza Linhart. I will check into this further if you are unsure of which set are his parents.

Please look at the following memorial page.
Turley #49076048

Someone had a photo request for this memorial page. I felt it a little strange because of the info and the photo that you had added. So I decided to investigate it before I jumped into it. I checked the database for Maple Grove for the Cox/Turley family. I checked the Blue books at the FHCPL. I checked the index to Maple Grove - Vol.1.
Maple Grove has ten individuals in this private mausoleum. Their surname is either Cox or Turley. I do not think there is an unknown Turley. I feel that the name, Turley, on the front of the private mausoleum stands for the people inside. You already had a memorial page for William C. Cox, with the dates at the top of the mausoleum. You added a photo. Great photo.
I was going to ask you to check this out and delete the "Turley" memorial page. But someone jumped in and added another two photos to this memorial page. "Why?" is the question I asked her. The photo requester wanted a given name for the Turley on the mausoleum. But there is no given name other than the Turley(s) from inside.
If you agree with me, then I would be more than willing to ask the other person, that added photos to remove them, so you could delete the page that belongs to the Unknown Turley.
If you do not agree, then I am just barking up the wrong genealogy tree.
A reply would be appreciated.

Ayre/Penn Lincoln
The cemetery has no record of James Ayre being buried there. His baptismal record is available on line listing his birth date as Dec. 28 1876 and his christening as Feb 4 1877. The James with those dates died in 1940 in Flint Michigan and has a memorial on find a grave. If you edit your burial information to show the correct cemetery I will remove mine. His death certificate is on the memorial as is the baptismal record which lists his parents.
