A fire fighter by profession, genealogy and history research are one of my hobbies. I also enjoy Civil War reenacting with the 33d N.J. Inf.,2nd Zouaves, the feel of history never got better. As for the cemeteries, as quiet as they may seem, the souls of those before each have their own story.|

I just want to let you know that I left a picture on the memorial you have for Charles with the source of the picture in the caption. Hope it's okay with you. I'm quite sure that it's the right man because there appears to be only one Charles N. Wood who lived around Broome and who was born in 1839.

|Linda Peloquin||RE: Egbert / Decker|
Thanks for getting back to me.
So, it's family with an Egbert/Decker marriage connecting the two. I hadn't gotten into Abigail yet so thank you for that bit of information.
The other Decker headstone in the photo, John & Sarah, you probably know are Japhet's parents. They also have memorials here by lilypad: 133782381 & 133782418.
I see that you also have made a memorial for Eliza Decker, Japhet's wife. She was in the 1902 Newark, NJ directory w/the same addy as son John but the info for that must have been collected before she died in 1901.
I've never seen Japhet's DC. I'm not in Staten Island or even NY so the only death records I get are those that are direct line. I'd love to have a DC for everyone for whom one was issued but for me, like most of us, that's not budgetarily possible so I stick to the main line for those expenditures.
I wish I did have some older family pix but the closest I come w/the Decker branch on Staten Island is a great-grandmother who would be related to Japhet through their common ancestors of John M. Decker & his wife, Martha Kinsey.
I know trees @ Ancestry say "Whitehead" for Martha's maiden but that was based on what turns out to be mis-information by an unknown informant for the 1909 DC of John & Martha's daughter Mary Catherine & was thought at the time to be correct.
There was a big tah-do when Martha's 2nd husband died w/his children(all by his late, 1st wife) contesting his will. In the testimony of Martha's late husband's brother, it was learned that Martha & the 1st wife, nee Kinsey, were sisters thus, Martha's maiden was learned/confirmed to be Kinsey.
Yes, I am on Ancestry. Is the Rev. Faull Family Tree yours? The photo of the tree's owner sure looks like you in the pix here or you have a twin bro. doing genealogy. If it's you, then I just sent a contact mail a short while ago on the Ridgeway/Faull/Decker connection. And I do see that the Faull memorials are yours, too.
If it's not you, then let me know here.

Good evening Gary,
Thank you for this memorial!
I'm looking at the photos you took that accompany your memorial and I'm a bit confused.
Is the photo w/the Egbert monument in the foreground just meant to give an overview of the location of Japhet's headstone or are the three headstones in the photo all within the same plot & therefore the two in the background - Japhet's and that of John M. Decker/Sarah Decker (Who were, BTW, Japhet's parents) related to the Egbert"s?
My guess would be, if related, then the relationship might be via Japhet's wife Eliza for whom I've not found a maiden name yet.
It won't be via Sarah Decker on the other headstone off on the right of the Egbert monument because the marriage of Sarah & John is recorded in the records of Moravian Church and her maiden name - Alston & her parents - Japhet & Sarah Alston, are documented in the records. One last question...I'm wondering where you found the birth & death locations of Bull's Head for Japhet. I haven't been able to find them w/what's available to me on line.
Thanks so much.

I don't know if they should. I was just letting you know in case you are doing their family tree. It's not a common name.
|Mike Harrison||Weik @ Watsontown|
I found Jay along with 6 other Weik's. They are in Block 11, listed owner ofthe lot was Ella Weik. I posted all of them & transferred them to you.

I will do that. He was married to my husband's grandmother, Frances Maceina Stark. I have very little info on Frances...do you have anything that you'd share with me...photos, info, etc? I don't know anything of her marriage to your grandfather, except records I've found.
How about your grandfather...anything you would share about him would be wonderful.
