Hello: My name is Bill Kazupski and I am a resident of the City of Chicago. I live on the far south side of Chicago, blocks from a few of the south and southwest Chicago suburbs.|
I come from a family of Chicago police officers. My father spent over 30 years with the force and both my brothers and I are Chicago police officers. I am a homicide detective and have been with the Chicago police department for over 28 years. My mother is a nurse and my one sister works for Loyola Hospital.
I enjoy being a volunteer with Find-A-Grave because it allows me to get my walking exercise in while helping others. Kind of killing two birds with one stone as they say.
The following cemeteries are within walking distance from my residence:
Chapel Hill Gardens (South)
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery
Burr Oaks - Due to this cemetery digging up burial plots and dumping the coffins and bodies, this cemetery is the focus of national media and news outlets. It is a historical black cemetery operated by African Americans. It is currently shut down to the public as the criminal investigation is in progress. (Update: This cemetery has re-opened under new management)
Feel free to e-mail with any requests for these cemeteries.
Good Luck To All!

Hi Bill, A few months ago you went walking one day and got me some photos for the Blazek's at Saint Casimir Catholic Cemetery, thanks again.
I see that you have claimed a couple more of mine: Anna & Gordon McElligott at Holy Sepulchre. If you happen to see any other McElligott in the area, or any of these:
Rita and/or William Mugg
Magdaline (Faxel) Lifka
please take them too if possible and I'll add memorials to Find A Grave for them.
Enjoy your walk!

Bill, thanks very much for the plot photo of Anne's burial site. Your generosity of time and the work you put in for others is unbelievable and along with your "day job" career is more than honorable! Thank you for your service to the public and Happy Independence Day.
Thanks again for your time in getting this photo. I live in South Bend, Indiana but was born and raised in Chicago on the south side also. In the 50's I lived on Garfield Blvd. (55th St.) just east of Halsted. I went to Visitation grade and high school. I moved in '77 but I still feel Chicago is my home! The majority of my family are buried in St. Mary's on 87th St. Thank you again! Happy July 4th!

Bill, thanks so much for the Gibbons' headstone photo. May I ask if those flowers were at the site when you arrived or whether you left them (Memorial# 121402002)? And also whether you were able to find their daughter Anne Gibbons Moriarty's headstone, if there was one (Memorial# 133760717)? I truly appreciate the generous volunteer work you do!

Thank you very much for fulfilling my request for photos for the grave of Thomas P O Connor in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Chicago. Thomas was a 1st cousin of my grandfather. His mum, Annie Breen was my grandfather's aunt, and my great grandaunt. Annie was born in Tipperary, Ireland in 1889 and in 1909 emigrated to New York. From there she moved to Chicago, Married an O'Connor and had 3 kids, Thomas P being the youngest of them. Thanks again.
Thanks so very much for the wonderful photo of the Carr Family plot. George's grandson will be very happy.
