Hello: My name is Bill Kazupski and I am a resident of the City of Chicago. I live on the far south side of Chicago, blocks from a few of the south and southwest Chicago suburbs.|
I come from a family of Chicago police officers. My father spent over 30 years with the force and both my brothers and I am currently a Chicago police homicide detective and have been with the Chicago police department for over 25 years. My mother is a nurse and my one sister works for Loyola Hospital.
I enjoy being a volunteer with Find-A-Grave because it allows me to get my walking exercise in while helping others. Kind of killing two birds with one stone as they say.
The following cemeteries are within walking distance from my residence:
Chapel Hill Gardens (South)
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery
Burr Oaks - Due to this cemetery digging up burial plots and dumping the coffins and bodies, this cemetery is the focus of national media and news outlets. It is a historical black cemetery operated by African Americans. It is currently shut down to the public as the criminal investigation is in progress. (Update: This cemetery has re-opened under new management)
Feel free to e-mail with any requests for these cemeteries.
Good Luck To All!

In the last few months you graciously photographed and uploaded quite a few of my photo requests: Mauran, Motier, Mostrom, various Moster's, Motisi, Mossuto.
Thank you for your time and efforts! Happy Holidays and a healthy 2015.

William, I saw the reference for my great grandfather on your site. I noted the information was provided by the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and was updated by you on Oct. 7, 2014. I am the one that contacted the Foundation with the correction of the spelling of George's last name.
Additionally, I have a copy of his marriage certificate from New York and it indicates he was born in BROOKLYN. Your site reflects Manhattan. If possible, would you please update that on your site. You have a great site by the way. Thanks much.

Changed date of death and added a note about the discrepancy. Thanks for adding the pictures. I tried to find an obit or Cook County death record and was unsuccessful.
Just stopped by to wish you a Merry Christmas and to say again how much I appreciate your efforts.

Adding to Tamra's comments, I really appreciate your perseverance getting those photos for Martin, Catherine, and Martin Jr, thanks very much.
Thanks for adding the headstone pics for the Daceys. I changed the surname spelling to match Martin, Jr. and Catherine's headstones. I found the spelling of their last name a number of ways in the records. I have also added memorials for the Hungerfords. Don't know if you are searching them. Keith and I have been in contact, and I appreciate your help with the photos. Tamra Phelps

Thanks for forgiving my Cubs fandom when it comes to help with Genealogy. I have found both Cubs and Sox fans in the family tree, but yes, my branch leans to Wrigley (not that it's been justified by their performance!).
My grandfather John Casey was also a Chicago cop, and I have family scattered across Chicago, the buried ones in Calvary, Bohemian National, Mt. Olivet, Resurrection, and St. Adelbert's to name a few.
I'm always grateful for help from others such as yourself, and I return the favor taking photos at Arlington, Quantico, and other Virginia and DC Cemeteries.
Here's a story to share, a clipping from my grandather's days as a Chicago police officer.
All the best, and thanks again,
|Chris Casey||Thank You!|
Thank you William for fulfilling the photo request for 2C2R Elmer Casey at Holy Sepulchre. The photo has already helped by giving me information about his wife Mary Theresa for whom I didn't yet have any birth or death info.

Thanks Bill, appreciate your help. r/ Keith McAllister
|Rich||Pvt Gerald A. Zehme|
Thanks for the photos of Pvt Zehme and linking him to his family, greatly appreciated.
Also I've been meaning to thank you for the photos of my Mom 951823 and Dads 30440460 graves at Christmas. I never think about actually taking a photo when I decorate their graves.
